Long story short. I got off scott free . 2 tickets, window tint, and avoiding light.
I cut through a parking lot at a road that turned into a T. Either left or right. I cut right because a bus pulled out of the bus station in front of me at the last minute. The light was red. So I swerved right through the parking lot to avoid hitting. Then a sheriff pulled me over and gave me the tickets. Well i told the judge that the tint was on the car when I bought it and the deputy didn't use any device to check the light transmittance. Then I said that I was intending to turn left to go towards my college campus. So why whould I cut through a parking lot in the opposite direction without a good reason? The east bound is all neighborhoods, I told the judge and I wouldn't have reason to go that way. When the officer goes first he tells his account of the stop. My moron public servent was stumbling and sounded unsure of his notes that he read. He said he was at the parking lot of the convienient store i cut through cheking speed. Well I guess the judge thought he was there for other purposes(food)or for something? Anywho, the judge said he would give me the benefit of the doubt on the avoiding light ticket . And the tint he said remove it and come back in a month to show. It's getting faded anyway so I'll take it off, show the court, and then get it redone at a legal %.

I feel so high right now ! Its the best feeling to prove a officer wrong when he is abusing his authority.

                light transparency meters, etc.

they vary from state to state, so dont let 'experts' on here tell you what the tint laws are.

I really was going left and had to veer right to avoid the bus. And I've been pulled over in the past AT NIGHT and didn't recieve any tickets or hassle about my tint. When I bought the car it had tint already on it. How am I supposed to know the percent of the tint? The officer was just being a dick because I am young(22) and driving a sports car. Typical stereotype. Ive never gotten a ticket for speeding in my life. It's always some bs minor infraction that I take to court and win almost always. The officer should have used a light transmittance device to check my tinont. Just laziness on his part. Sorry if it's wrong to stick up for yourself when your accused of something you didn't do  . I avoided a light to avoid a accident! That's the first principle of defensive driving, avoid an accident at all cost, within reason. I'm sure your a fine officer. But the judge agreed with me ;) .

yea, but not traffic enforcement. i serve bench warrants.

and as for your 'accident avoidance', i thought you were just making that up as an excuse. i didnt know you actually did that. changes my view some.

I'm glad that you were acquitted and all, but that line is utter crap. I've already posted on this in the past, but I am so sick of the people on this and other boards saying that. NO ONE CARES THAT YOU ARE YOUNG AND DRIVE A SPORTS CAR. You got tickets for either a) doing something wrong or b) being an *** to the officer. Sure, sometimes there is that one dickhead abusing his authority, but 99.99999% of the time, NO ONE CARES.

I think Firebird's and Camaro's just look like they are moving fast when they are parked, and even faster while in motion.

I'm not saying this isn't true or anything, because I dont think most police officers will pull you over for your car, but I do believe a police officer is FAR more inclined to pull a teenager over for going 5 or 10 over, mind you not recklessly or in residential areas, than they would others.

I think the police differ from place to place, I know the ones here have it out for any kid with nicer cars than the police squad cars ;)

Abusing his authority? I'd pull you over if I saw what you did and I was a cop.

I'll make a stereotype about you. I bet the next time you get pulled over, you'll be making a post about how the cop was a dick and he is wrong, right?

                              He's doing his job. Moron.
