Dont waste your time on a V6, youll spend a crap load of money to run next to a stock LS1. Congrats, now the guy in the LS1 will spend 50$ on his engine and runs circles around you.

one more point against a swap, the time you would have into it...lets say you are worth $15/hour. Then swap everything you need suspension, engine, transmission, rearend(i think) then all the parts...and bam! something doesn't run right. Darn thing has a sensor problem. You trouble shoot the thing in your garage for days. post on forums, then spend some more money. by the way, do you have an engine hoist? then gas to pick them up if you dont already have them. then the time into that. then and then, and then... you get the point.
even if you paid $3500 more for a v8 i think it would still be worth it.
but if you can get a killer deal on a v6 camaro, more power to you. a v6 camaro or v8 camaro is a great car either way.
get your friends car and sell it for a profit or trade toward a v8 camaro.

i would have the 3.4 as a daily driver and then drop a turbo is your 3.8 seeing as your car would be faster than the 3.4. but dont do a v8 swap it isnt worth it2001 camaro a4 SOM vert <br />3800 series II <br />flowmasters american thunder <br />3.42 gears<br /><br />its not fast but i drive it like a natural beast
