So has the Democratic Convention changed your mind about voting
Here's some food for thought:
What was the economy like when Bush first stated he wouldn't touch Social Security?
That was pre-9/11, and the economy was great, right? There was no reason to touch it. Then, 9/11 happened, companies (like the airlines) had to be bailed out of trouble, etc. etc. etc. That's not exactly something that would be expected nor allocated in a budget.
Just an observation...

Actually, it started going down hill as soon as he got elected, the dramatic swing from left to extreme right caused the investors to (scientific term) freak out and that's what got the whole ball rolling on the dot com fallout and recession.
Good point though, they might flip flop a lot but there is often a REASON to do so.
I like both of those guys a lot more than either bush or kerry, even though they're considered republicans. Hell, I'd say that powell is more of a democrat than Kerry, i mean how can you call the man a socialist? He is more conservative than some republicans I know.
I don't care about 2004, just gotta get the scum off the top of our political process and then in 2008 maybe we'll have some worthwhile choices.

they had a pretty good bush flip-flop (er, i mean outright lie) about the job situation. His people predicted that 250000 jobs would be created by this point in time, and he said that they were well on track. Then there was a good long analysis of the quality of jobs being created, and they were nowhere near as high paying as the ones lost when the economy went south.
My uncle had a discussion with me, and he said that the president doesn't have control over the economy. But this isn't true, the president makes policy decisions that affect everything from minimum wage to tariffs. And yes, I know that most of those decisions first pass through congress, but the president has more power in the process than any other single man because he can veto it or sign it into law, and Kerry would have vetoed a LOT of the environmental law rollbacks that the GOP controlled congress has passed in the past four years.
Afghanistan we don't know too much about, my one qualm with that operation is that Bin Laden, the bastard of 9/11, still hasn't been apprehended and brought to justice. This tells me that the administration isn't using enough of its resources to hunt that pig fcuker down and kill him. Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11, and it was documented when Rumsfeld, on 9/12, said that it would be a good idea to use 9/11 as an excuse to go into iraq. American intelligence is as good as any that has existed in the history of the world, and it would not be hard for a division with virtually unlimited resources to plant false WMD evidence, especially in a world of alliances in which the allies' intelligence network is so interconnected.
dude CNN is lying to you

John Kerry is a disgrace. I refuse to vote for a man who burned his medals when he came back from vietnam after being there for only 4 months, didnt even finish his tour of duty. He also made a mockery of the military by rallying against the war in a BDU uniform wearing fake blood and face paint. Express your opinion-fine, but do it respectfully.
MSNBC is also biase, a little bit more towards Bush. And yes, Pres. Bush did flip flop too.
But like I said in the beginning, after watching the Convention, I didn't feel like Kerry took a stand on anything. But delivered a good inspiring speech that's very to the audience feeling, wants, and aspirations.
I want to see the Rep. Convention so I can make a good comparison of the two.
Be more open minded and vote for the one that represents your values.
yeah, it did get off for a second ;) we all know now bush flops but the majority or it i just see it as political neccesity(spelling***). but Kerry, he just in my opinion lighting stands in area until he thinks he can get more votes by standing on the other side. like i said in the past. bush tells you what he believes and kerry tells you what he thinks you want to hear. and the only time you suppose to act that way is when you in office, then you at the command of the public. but during elections, you suppose to tell what you think.
