• Surgery went well

My mother, for those who didn't read my last post on the matter, was discovered to have a large cerebral aneurysm and had brain surgery earlier this week.

They cut out a large section of her skull and clipped the artery at the base with a titanium clip. The surgeon said that he was shocked by the weakness of the wall of the bulge and wouldn't have given her more than a few weeks or a couple of months at most had it not been taken care of.

She is not recovering as well as I had hoped from the surgery, but considering the nature of the procedure I guess we can't expect too much. She is in a lot of pain, and has a lot of vertigo when moving.

Overall, though, I think the surgery was a success.

Thank you to everyone who kept us in your thoughts throughout the ordeal. I know I've been unresponsive and hard to get a hold of lately, but I've pretty much been at my limit between work pressures, the situation with my mother, and other things that are going on in my life. So, anyone who has been having bad luck getting a hold of me lately, my apologies. It's nothing personal.

I said a couple of prayers for her. I'm glad she okay. That's the best Christmas present.
