Yeah i have a 2.4L dodge motor and it blew at 62k miles
and then i replaced it, with the turbo 2.4l and i blew that also.
Replaced that with a 2.4L out of a sebring with the same turbo and still have it, but i dont drive it.

The problems w/ the Chrysler 2.7 are well known and documented. There are entire sites dedicated to warning people not to buy that piece of junk.

The problem w/ the 2.7 is not shared with the 3.2 or the 3.5 motors though, AFAIK.

I just watched the video, They are suggesting that the oil gets changed every 6K??? Every car I have owned has gotten it every 3k I always thought that was the norm??

not all cars have the same intervals, but 3000 is usually a good rule of thumb. depends on what sort of oil youre using as well.

i doubt those people were changing their oil at the regular intervals, but i also dont think the engines are made to last.

My grandma has a 2.7L V6 in her 04 Sebring. 40K on it and still running strong. The dealer said that she has to have an oil filter with a anti-drain back valve or it would cause premature engine failure. I found that weird, but hey if it works.

Every oil filter has an anti drainback valve.

Short oil changes are a must with this engine, even still there is a manufacturing defect that causes these things to grenade prematurely.
