it has a 300HP/260TQ V-TEC V-6. you think it would be AT LEAST in the 14's with a trap around 95-100. WRONG. CDTV was so amazed with its proformance and its amazing quarter time of 15.2 at 92 MPH. stock camaros with a few hundred dollars in them that are 10 years old could match that. i know that the RL has a bunch of other nice stuff incorporated but its not worth $49k.

i dont think the people buying the RL are the people that are gonna be out racing them at the track or on the street. compairing it to a fbody is compairing apples to oranges

but you still think the 300 HP would help it put out better times, ya know? it is supposed to be a luxury sports car.

just cause something has 300HP doesnt mean its going to be putting down big numbers. there are sooo many things involved like torque management, RPM shifter limiters, gears, power curve....everything

You have to remember sometimes they don't know how to drive I'm sure that car will be good for 14's. The TL is already a 14sec car.

Since when did HP amount to ****? Am I on a honda board?

It is a heavy car, and it only has 260 lbft of TORQUE.

Remember that HP is nothing more than a funtion of torque x rpm /5252. SInce the torque variable in that equation in wussy, they rely on sky high RPM to make thier 300-on-paper HP. Typical crapanese engineering.

Stock v6 camaros with a few hundred $ in mods that are 10 years old can easily make 260 lbft of torque.
