How long does it usually take to repo a car? I've been calling the dealer everyday this week to see if they have the car in.. nothing yet! This woman must be hiding the car really good.

Repops take time. Be patient.

You don't have to hide the car really well. At my old job there was a kid there who wasn't too bright. He bought a 2000 Mustang GT (1year old at the time), and between his insurance and car payments he was paying out about $800 a month. Anyway since we all know bills are a drag, he would stop paying one of the two for a month or two at a time.
When they wanted to repo his car, he would park across the street in a strip mall at work, then he would garage the car at home. Managed to keep that car for MANY months more than he should have.

it depends on quite a few things. I've had agents that were able to recover a car the same day I faxed the order out. it depends on if she's hiding the car in a garage repo man can't go there. also depends how much info the dealer got when she purchased the car. if they got alot of info like friends family and such then it may not be a problem

I know that if I am having my vehicle repoed, it is my own fault for not making the payments, but sometimes legitimate circumstances arise that prevent that from happening like being laid off for instance, but either way it still isn't paid for.... but what would they do if the entire car was disassembled and lying inside the vehicle??? Tires off of the rims, engine parts scattered allover the interior, which has been unbolted...how do you think they would go about that legally????!!!!

is there a reason why your going through a dealer? There are a bunch of deals out there on the LS1 boards. Just a thought.

what would happen is the repo man would tell you bank the situation. they will then probably take legal action probably sue you because the car's worthless in that condition.

hey so what's the deal? did she buy it and the financing didn't go thru or is it like a buy here pay here lot?

The person bought the Z here. She didn't make like 3 or 4 months worth of payments. VERY good place to get a car in O-Town.
