  • I think my dad has lost it.

My dad has decided to trade in his 98 Trans Am that has ran 11.51 at 117 and the 95 3.4 Camaro for a 04 SRT4........the T/A has 28k miles on it cuz he never drives it....i used to drive it more then him so he said he wanted something better on gas milage and lower on insurance and I guess he has likes these cars ever since they came out...he recently bought a 03 Hemi Dodge truck for towing our race car....he has always been a Mopar man since he was my age. O well.....we are demodding the LS1 tonight and prolly taking it in Tuesday.

I wil miss that car :(

I know 2 V8 camaro guys (one a built LT4 running awesome times, the other a longtime autocrosser) who switched over to SRT-4's.

They're pretty nice cars, have good mods available, and run fast if you can launch them well (wheel hop in first and second gears).

I'd just get him to switch to the stock neon wing instead of the St. Louis Arch on the back.

i say he photocopies his timeslip, and leave a note with it that says "this is what this car has run before i traded it in. enjoy it."

put it somewhere like on the top inside of the airbox taped on where the next owner will find it if they mod it. then they will be like

Cuz the SRT-4 is a badass lil car and perfect daily driver? I'd keep the TA myself, but still - atleast he's not getting a Honduh or something along those lines. SRT-4s = impressive!

i'll agree that the SRT-4 is impressive with the right work and it would be great for a daily driver. but maybe thats cause i did drive around a neon as a daily dirver unitl the damn thing started ticking.
