HOW DO YOU REMOVE PITA ADWARE??

I have some form of Adware/Spyware that I can not seem to get rid of. I'm on my third Adware/Spyware removal/protection program and this thing just won't go way. I really wouldn't mind it's just that the program always resets my Homepage to some stupid page that I think is downloading more crap onto my computer. HOW THE HELL DO I REMOVE THIS CRAP!!!!!!!!!!!

1) Find out the names of these programs
2) Type the name into google and you'll have your answer. There was one program I found on my parents computer when I went to visit them "Virtumondo". It prevented virus checker programs from being installed/run. I had to go through a LONG list of steps to get rid of it.

Search through there. No offense, but this is mainly a car site, and a lot (NOT ALL) of people don't know jack about computers but won't hesitate to tell you what to do. Better to seek out SME's.

click on downloads

"Microsoft Anti-Spyware Beta"

install it, it works greta and its free assuming you dont have a bootlegged version of windows or you run mac.

Ok, I have a few suggestions. Since running NoAdware 3.0 and Norton comp has been clean. HiJackthis I have on comp if you want me to E-mail it to you. AND 3rd if you look up your processes (Ctrl+Alt+Del) you can check any questionable prog at Processlibrary.com , They worked great for me. (After I found 110 Malicious files.)

Some of the things that ive found work the best at fighting adware:

1. Not getting on the internet.
2. Not downloading as much porn.
3. buying a mac

actually the best would be to switch from internet explorer to Mozilla Firefox. no adware [img]tongue.gif[/img]

search for adaware se personal.

install.. run.. update definition list, run again.. restart computer press f8 enter safe mode, run adaware for a third time.

if you have or ever had kazaa.. search google for kazaa b gone.

other than that. spybot search and destroy, and webroots spysweeper. www.spysweeper.com offers you a free 30 day trial.

accually i just found alot, i found that adaware and spybot used toghether work really well.
