How true it is, imagine the amount of drugs you could do in the '60s and '70s. I know you can do all of them now, but you cant just do it in front of the police station, with an officer.

Maybe it would stop if they had cop cars, (at least here) that could catch up with our cars, and most ricers. They use the fwd drive impala, that runs 17s in the 1/4 mile. Why so slow? Arent they supposed to be able to chase criminals?
</font>[/QUOTE]with technology, they get the tag, run it and sho up at your house, thank you bill gates!

it will get to the point where we will have chips in our cars that track our every move and speed, they will know if you do a california roll through or go one over the speed limit. thats my guess.

Everybody thinks that only THEIR city rolls through stop signs. Its known as the "St. Louis Stop" here. All drivers do it, but they just think its only done in their towns.

if you dont allow us to go on these tangents we end up having to make new topics and that would clutter the lounge. just let the conversation roll

if they are dumb enough to blatently do it right in front of me yeah. I agree its not really that dangerous if you pay attention to cross traffic. but you need to atleast be aware enough of your suroundings to realize theres a cop right there and your breaking the law right in front of him.

Yeah that's how I feel about to too. I'm sure a lot more people would get pulled over for it if we drove unmarked cars but that probably seems unfair to some. Are you putting in your application for officer as soon as you turn 21?

I didnt even bother to read what everyone else wrote, but heres what I believe.

For a little background, here's some facts.
Crime (person crime such as buglary, murder, rape, etc) haven't risen or fallen by more than a few percents over the years. But the population of inmates has risen over 500% Why??? Drug offenders. The Government can't regulate drugs, so they make it a crime. In turn, the "jail industry," if you want to call it, is the biggest one in the world.

What does this all come down to??? MONEY $$$
MONEY = POWER = Maintaining the elite status.

The government control the police of course, and cracking down on "racing" brings in more revenue for the state and maintains the power to remind us citizens that they control us.

So all in all.....it's all about $$$ and power. Otherwise, they would've raised the freeway speedlimit a few miles per hour.
