  • So, all my north-east "peeps" ready for the blizzard?

It looks like it's gonna' be a bad one. It wasn't even snowing when I walked into the grocery store, and when I came out we already had over an inch.

Weather Advisories: A BLIZZARD WARNING remains effect through noon on Sunday for most of eastern New York and western New England. THIS IS THE FIRST BLIZZARD WARNING FOR THIS REGION SINCE MARCH 1993. SEVERE weather conditions are expected to develop throughout the region overnight tonight, generally from 11pm through 8am Sunday, resulting from a rapidly intensifying storm that will move south of New England and off of Cape Cod by Sunday morning. The combination of the bitterly cold air, heavy falling and blowing snow, and increasing wind overnight will produce white out conditions and near impossible travel. Wind chills will drop to between -15° and -25° at the height of the storm late tonight. Snowfall amounts are becoming more certain as the track of the storm looks more clear today. Snowfall amounts of 12"-18" are likely for many areas from the Capital Region and southern Bennington county on south, with between 14"-21" especially along the west slopes of the Catskills through 2pm Sunday. Snowfall amounts of 8"-12" are expected in much of the Mohawk valley to Saratoga Springs and central and northern Bennington county, with 5"-9" of snow in the Adirondacks to Glens Falls and Lake George to Rutland county, VT. The storm will wind down early Sunday afternoon with snow ending in the area. However, the bitterly cold air will remain and strong winds will continue to produce significant blowing and drifting snow all day Sunday.
I can't wait to dig out of this one.
