i think what ur thinkin of is when you get a spyware or adware or sumthing, people can read what you typed. its not pretty but thats what some people do. what you can do to get rid of spyware and adware is download "adaware SE" and/or "spybot S&D". both are free and both are freakin awesome at finding and deleting spyware. two good ways of preventing yourself from getting it in the first place are getting an antivirus prog. like norton and using another free program called "the proxomitron" basically it sets itself up as a local proxy and it filters out all that nasty adware/spyware stuff b4 ur comp actually opens the packets up. its free and its open source so you can mess with it all you want. google any of those names to find a d/l site. i use all of them and have been for 3 years and i NEVER see popups. very good stuff. but yeah, no new computers are legally allowed to have keystroke recording programs. if someone said they are, they;re just pulling ur prick, its a conspiracy theory.

Maybe if you are buying your computers from the guy on the street corner.

Any reputable company would not pre-install key loggers.

As already stated, install Lavasoft's Ad-Aware and an anti-virus program.
