So my little brother is looking for a car. Its gonna be his first. He wants a 5.0 Mustang, 88-93 GT. I told him he'd be better off with an LT1 camaro/formula/trans am. What do you guys think? Or do you have any other suggestions?

i have a 3800 as my first car. i learned how to drive on my mom's minivan and my dad's tahoe. v6 camaros are good because they are fast but not too fast, and look cool to boot. i would be scarred for life if i had to drive to school in a jetta or civic.

justkiddin...i know what you mean
my firebird was and is my first car. ive got into some trouble in the old girl within the year and an half or so ive had her. (which will happen w/ a 16 y/o in any car) If he's an American high school guy im sure he'll also like an F-body for its girl grabbing capabilities :D

my friends first car is a 1998 mustang v6. its hilarious to talk with him b/c he thinks his car is so fast and it really sucks hard. especially since he sucks at manual. he doesnt understand that his car does 0-60 in like 10 seconds and always is trying to race everyone. Get the 5.0 or better yet, get a responsible car.
5.0 advantage - cheap to buy, cheap and easy to fix. Break as much as the older LT1's do anyway and they don't have that annoying optispark.-1999 Camaro Coupe 3800 Series II V6 A4 - SOLD<br />-1998 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP coupe
