if you want a more upgradable car the CTS-V is the way to go. you have the choice of adding FI later and getting an easy 600hp out of it plus it will almost deffinately have better handling due to the smaller size and weight. to me the CTS-V is one of the best cars on the road, i want one so bad.

doesnt matter the CTS has it handily beat in performance potential. I'm such an old geezer now with how into cadilac i am.

see the STS is a whole different ball game
it is much more a luxury car than the CTS could ever be
everything about it leans towards luxury
it is a full size car competing with full size cars that the CTS cant compete with
not everyone wants small and good handling
Cadillac didn't even want a pushrod motor in the CTS-V but GM said you're doing the LS6 or you're not getting the V..And no it doesn't have the LS2 ;) Atleast it doesn't YET.
Cadillac refuses to use pushrod motors in their cars though, aside from the CTS-V which they were pushed in too, because of how low-tech they are. Cadillac wants the image of modern and high tech. Hence the 440 horsepower 4.4 liter ;)
Mustangs.. Come to the darkside...

The dark side is the path to the shadow of greed. =D
I think i would still rather have the ls6 for now anyway (more mods for it right now). And yeah, KBeezy is deffinately right about the whole "no pushrod" thing.

Im wondering what they are gonna to do with the cts- since the wont be making the ls6 anymore, prob stuff that sc northstar in it. I was kinda hyped at first about the v series until i noticed they are just stuffing the same engine in just about everything. The srx v is going to have the sc northstar too. The only difference ive heard is the rumor of the 525hp Turbo 12 cylinder escalade. I wouldnt waste 50k on one, id just buy a bmw M3

i wouldnt mind having the turbo 12 as an engine swap option for an XLR though... . i wish the cien had made it to the showroom floor, i would have saved up for the rest of my life for that beast.
