That totally makes me, a semi-grown man wanna cry. Just b/c how the news portrays todays soldier. The only news is "another dead" or "more civilans killed". I've been thinking about enlisting.

if i were 18, i would enlist...i really do wish i was there...I feel like i have to do my duty to my country. So guys, dont tell me that im just some stupid kid that wants to go see what war is all about...I know what can, and does, happen...its just a calling...its wierd, i hope im not alone out there. God bless those guys and America

I've actully wanted too...but I bought a car and applied to college and it seems kind tough just all of a sudden leaving everything behind.If the draft was brought back.I would go, not having a second doubt.

neither of you are alone, I too feel like I have a duty to my country, but I also found it too hard to leave everything behind all of a sudden. Which is why I joined Army ROTC. When I graduate from college I'll be given my commission as a 2nd Leutenent in the Army w/in 30 days. So I get my degree and the chance to go to college, and come out as an officer in the USArmy.

plus i get to wear this cool uniform that drives the ladies crazy ;)

Actually those did make the news. See the little lettering under the photo? That's who took the photo and who owns the copywrite.

just b/c members of the press took the pics doesnt meen they will make it on the news. the media only seems to want to show deaths, casualties, and report negative news from Iraq, you'll never see that first picture under a headline reading "soldier pets kitten".

Did he even read the text at the bottom?? It says "PLEASE PASS THESE ON". What an @ss, it might be alright on a different topic, but we're talking about people who are fighting to save your small C.O.jones.
