• We think my neighbor is selling meth

We always knew he was up to something, but over the course of about 2 weeks now things have happened to lead us to believe he is dealing.....

    1) Strange, very creepy looking dude sleeping in his truck in front of my house. When the cops came to get him out he had track marks all over his arms, but they coudlnt' find anything on him or in his truck and had to release him. Later the day, the other neighbors kids found a used hypodermic in their front yard, but the cops can't tie it to him.

    2) He asked another neighbor if they wanted to come over and do Meth. She called the cops on him but they told her they can't do anything.

    3) Lots and lots of strange traffic... cars we've never seen before coming by (4 different ones in an hour yesterday), stopping for 5 or 10 mins & leaving. The people coming in & out are very shady looking and look like trouble.

The cops are telling us to get license plates of all the strange traffic and report any strange activity immediately.

Any other suggestions? I want this dirtbag outta here...

Tell him that you think he is selling, everyone in the neighborhood is watching him and the first time he screws up he's going away for a long while.

Edit: Also if you have a video camera stand in your front yard and make sure everybody that comes in and out sees you video taping them. I imagine users will get spooked pretty easily.

How about you go over there and ask him for some meth. If he sells some to you, you got proof for the cops. It'll be fun, like your own detective work. Thats dangerous for real though, little kids finding needles and ****. It doesnt seem to me like the cops wanna do anything, they havent helped you neighbor lady or the kids around. Maybe he'll blow his house up one day making it.

see if you notice any funny oders coming from the house, cooking meth is a very smelly process. also, if his electrical meter is w/in eyesight of your property, see if its using extrememly large amounts electricity.

DO NOT TRY AND BUY SOME FOR PROOF!!! it doesnt matter what your reasoning for purchasing it would be, you could be arrested for possesion of a CDS (controlled dangerous substance)!!!

if you find enough evidence like smells ect, go to the police dept and ask to talk to a detective in the narcotics unit, dont just talk to a uniformed officer. be very formal when your talking to the detective and present him w/ any photos/evidence/ect that you have. Mabey suggest that you could help them w/ a purchase sting since you're his neighbor he'd probably be comfortable selling to you (just dont try it on your own).

I havn't noticed any smells directly from his place, but we have a sugarbeet factory near by that does give off strange smells, so I've always written strange smells off to the factory. I'm not even sure what it smells like.

I've got a call in to the Seargent in charge of the city/county Drug Taskforce, but he's out today. I will talk to him first thing in the morning and from there I will know more.

This guy is whacko - he's thrown rocks at my dog thru the fence, he's complained to me about the tires I'm storing behind my shed are unsightly (but his yard has trash all over it, he's been up at 4am planting flowers and harassing the dog) This guy is a nutjob, and the only way I'm confronting him is if he's on my property and he's looking down the barrel of my Smith.

Just start selling your own meth at a lower price. Then when he can't handle the competition, he'll leave.

well talking w/ the SGT is the first thing i'd do, but if you get video of him thowing things at your dog or breaking any othe small crimes, it may give the police enough for an arrest warrent, which they may be able to work with to get into his house and get a look around.

If I would have had any indication back when he did those things (like 6 months ago) I wouldn't have hesitated...

The entire neighborhood's watching him like a hawk - he's goin down, it's just a matter of time.

When I was a little kid in Maryland (don't really remember it, but my parents have told me about it) there was a crack house down the street. Everyone in the neighborhood knew what was up and the cops even setup a stack out at one of my friends houses across the street from it. They never did anything however. One day the house caught on fire and burned to the ground though.

The moral of the story is houses full of mattresses burn easily.

Wait a minute... Montana, and he's acting like a wacko? Hmmm... that is very strange, especially in Montana.

Why not just do him in and feed him to the sheep?

if i were you i wouldnt go to his door and tell him straight up you know he is selling, if he gets busted he will hold it against you. sounds stupid, but many drug dealers dont seem to have morals so if he thought of murder it wouldnt suprise me

Wait for his house to blow up. It'll happen eventually.
