  • Anxiety Attack

This sounds kind of weird but for the last couple of months I've been having anxiety attack on talking to people in general.

I would like loose my trend of thoughts, get sweaty hands and even my speech becomes incoherent.

Now I work in a public place and I have been in public service ever since my working years. Why this is happening is weird.

Has this ever happen to any of you? What did you guys do?

I had one just a few weeks ago... it was really bad. I had been really stressed out with the way things were going in life, and it didn't hit me until 1 night. I was at a car hang out we have on Wednesday nights, and i was with my friends and I was like ok time for me to roll out... I was feeling fine at that time. I started walking through the crowd of people and I started breathing hard and sweating and i got a really bad charlie horse in my calf muscle, (doc says because my blood pressure was so high) I like got to my car and say in the car a it didn't stop for 20 minutes at least. Of hard breathing my heart was pounding and the only thing that was going through my head was, "omg all these people are looking at me, and they can see i'm freaking out." Finally i called my friend crying and he calmed me down. I was afraid i wasn't going to be able to drive home (which was 55 miles) with this muscle spasm i was having, it was so bad i couldn't make my foot function.

It was a terrible experience, my doctor suggested some anxiety medication and to eliminate stress (easier said than done), but i wasn't sure i need it yet. If i have another i will do so, but it was horrible. I would never wish that on anyone.

The trick is to stop yourself from having bad thoughts, I guess.

i haven had one in a while. they we're really bad. the trick to get ride of them with out any kinda of meds would be to just walk away from what ever your doing. go be by yourself, think of good things, look at a fav picture etc. counting back wards helps also cause it's making your brain really think. take really really deep long breaths. attachs are all a state of mind(bad, scary etc thoughts) so you just have to get yourself to snap out of it!

They get their power from you, if you dont let them happen they cant. Like "Nightmare on elm street" the only way Freddy can hurt you is if you are afraid of him. If your not, he cant...same concept.
