To play devil's advocate here, what in the world is a cop doing threatening deadly force for an alcohol violation? They don't even do that on COPS.

And... If I saw a crazy guy chasing down one of my buddies with a gun, I'd probably do the same thing if I had the jump on him.

If you run from a cop, you're asking for trouble. I wouldn't care if the cops shot someone who was running from them, no matter what the original violation was for.

However, I do agree with the 2nd part of your post. If somebody was chasing me with a gun, I would want someone to tackle him and hold him down. I can only believe the guy was yelling to stop and that he was police. If that was the case, it was just a bunch of frat guys trying to get their friend off the hook and they should be held accountable. If the undercover cop never mentioned he was in fact a cop, though, then I can't blame the other guys for it.

I believe the guy that ran is at fault... as for the frat guys, I think they just saw a guy chasing another guy waving a gun and ran over to wrestle the gun away. From what I understand they were not associated with the guy the UCF cop was chasing.

The guy that got shot is going to school as a education major specializing in special ed, kids. Not exactly the type of guy that likes to wrestle cops.

obvious the guy didn't look like a cop, especially since another cop couldn't tell he was a cop, just saw him as a madman waving a gun around.


BTW I heard the guy getting hit with the alcohol violation was 21, just didn't have his ID.

I'll admit I was one, probalby been to 25 UCF home games, only seen maybe 30 minutes of a ucf game in my life. And one halftime show.

usually show up with a group of 20 or so people at 10-11am party all day, leave, around end of 1st quarter or halftime then go have a part at someone's apartment.

but I only went to one game last year, and left early to help a chick friend that was visiting fix her car.

Hey and a new thing going around is that the tazzers and stun guns are killing people as we speak. Sacramento has 3 cases pending use of a tazzer and suspect dies hours later. 3 Times in 6 months. They may change the use of force for tazzers to deadly force because of the fatalities linked to them.

im sorry the officer died, but he put himself in the wrong situation.... ever been to a concert? people walk around doing drugs right in front of the police...... why? cuz there are 10000000000 other people drunk or high, who arent going to realize wtf is going on, or think they are superman and will save them...... the cop was running through a crowd of drunk people, waving a gun , for what? a MIP or MIC.... get real, the cop deserved to have his *** kicked by the guy he "shot", but not to die by any means......

yeah the whole situation sucked... but i can tell you now they will probably never find the kid that was running.... on a seperate note my sisters boyfriend was standing maybe 3 feet away fromt he cop when he got shot and saw the whole thing... i knew about it maybe 2 minutes after it happened...
