Is it me or is the 3rd and early 4th gen. Trans Am/Firebird becoming rare
yeah i've noticed the same. I still seen 3rd gens but way more camaros then bird. as for 4th gens i see atleast 2 maros for each bird. well i'm gonna keep my bird till it's worth lots of $$$$$$.
I see 3rd gens all of the time around UC and the downtown Cincinnati area. Definitely more Camaros than Firebirds/TAs, but certainly wouldn't call them rare.

Guess they are all here, for 98+ I see more firebirds then camaros, especially formula/trans ams over z28s.

Its a small town around here. I think firebirds are tit for tat where im at. Not many v6's... But just in town there is 1 3rd gen camaro and 2 white firebirds not even a block away from each other. I rarely see a 3rd gen but im used to seeing 4th gens..
Its funny tho i look out in back parkin lot at school. Like 6 mustangs and my poor lonely camaro. Glad no one else has one at my school tho.

Originally posted by Mighty Thor: I see alot of 3rd and early 4th gen. Camaro Z28 but not a whole lot of Trans Am anymore.
I still see early 4th gen. base Firebird, but not as much as before. About twice a week I would see 98+ Ram Air Trans Am.
Definately not seeing 3rd gen anymore. Maybe once in a month if I'm lucky.
So are Firebird and Trans Am becoming rare?
Well if you ever show up to any meets :cough::cough: then you would see a lot more.
There's a really cool 98 Blue-Green Chameleon Firebird driving around north Norco and Rancho Cucamonga. If you see it, give the driver $10.

i seem to see alot more camaros than firebirds too. for example, in my school parking lot there is about 5 camaros (maybe more) but only one firebird (mine), but that makes me happy that my firebird is "rare". and then of course there is probably about 10+ mustangs, those things are everywhere.
Ive got a girl friend who has a '95 Camaro. Lives down the street. Lots of friends with 3rd Gen. Maro's and Bird's. I havent seen a 4th Gen TA in probably a month. Lots of SS's and Z28's though.
As for Rustangs, they are the new family car. I see more Rustangs than ANY other vehicle, im not exaggerating.
Theres a completly stock looking old 3rd gen around here also. Looks kinda beat up and you wouldnt think twice till u hear it run and look under the hood....i think its something on the liens of a procharged 355. I see it floating around once in awhile. The rest of the third gens are all beat up though
