The stuff they think up sometimes is just so rediculous.
I'm watching the new CSI: Miami right now, and this guy rigged the cruise control on an E55. When the guy turned on his turn signal, this device supposedly activated the cruise control, and deactivated the brakes.
This is so outragous because the cruise control is controled by the computer, a mechanical switch isn't going to over-ride it. Secondly, there is a saftey switch in the brake to disable the cruise control.
The best part is, how they found the guy who did it, was a finger print on the sticky side of electrical tape...that had been BAKING in florida heat for 3 years. [img]graemlins/rofl.gif[/img]
I'm sorry, there isn't a chance in hell you can easily remove electrical tape that has been baking in heat for years. The heat causes the glue to litterally fuse to the surface its stuck to. Even if a print would have survived three years on the glue, it would have been ripped apart when it was removed.
I've had the pleasure of undoing electrical tape that has been baked, and trust me, it's a gooey mess.
