Now this is where you post the manufacturer of the phone and the model number.

There are no good "general" forums, the better ones are manufacturer-specific.

If it's Nextel, I have every possible hookup for modding.

check out www.cellphonehacks.com (possibly NWS due to headlines saying "Free porno") they might have something there. If you have an LG vx4400 or vx6000 (i have the 6000) get a program called Bitpim and a data cable (20 bux @ radio shack online) and with those 2 things you can do anything with the phone even MAKE your own ringers (one of the ringers i made just for fun was a clip of "Scotty doesn't know )

If anyone has a Nextel i730/830, I can make any song into a wav ringtone as well as convert any image to a background. The things you learn when you're bored.... :D

Though not free (I think it's like $6 for a six month membership), http://www.3gupload.com/ offers a huge amount of ringtones, games, web browsers, utilities, and other things for your phone. You tell the site what kind of phone you have, and it'll only show you the things that are compatible with your phone. I used it, and it's a great site.

P.S. Plenty of F-bod pictures on it for the phone too, I have about 20 that I downloaded! :D

Whoops my bad, I knew I would likely have to list the model too . I have a Motorola V551 I know about 3gforfree but doesn't have my phone. I don't mind paying like $6 a month if I have to, just I am sure anything is better then $1.99 per song through cingular

I'd buy the cable. I'm sure that's an option to transfer things to your phone. I used to use those textmessaging services online to send things to my phone but they usually take too long to figure out.

I'd recommend joining the WiFi Forums. http://www.wifi-forum.com They support every brand and I did a quick search and had a decent amount of results with informative stuff concerning the V551.

Just go into the Gadgets Forum > Mobile Phone Forum > Motorola.

You should learn a ton about your phone.

I just got a new phone, a LG L1400 (cell provider is cingular). Anyone know where I can get some free stuff for this thing? Games, ringtones (I don't like the ones on it), backgrounds, etc?

Also, where could I get a data cable for my phone? I looked at radioshack.com (since someone said they had cables for other LG's), but they don't seem to have one for mine.

Thanks,
Rob

does your phone do mp3??? if so, you can create your own mp3...upload it to a website, and use the phone to download it...... careful about memory though.
