  • Who makes the best TV dinners?

Being a college student, my diet is limited basically to mac & cheese, ramen, chunky soup, ravioli, and TV dinner. Plus fast food on occasion.

So far the best TV dinners I've found are the Hungry Man dinners. Nice portions and good food.

The banquet dinners, however, are the cheapest. They're decent food too.

So who makes the absolute best, who makes the worst, and who makes the best for the money?

The HungryMan dinners give you the most food. Don't get the potato skins and quesadillas cuz it's nasty. Alot of the healty choice and smart ones dinners are really good.

Hungry Man dinners are absolutely terrible for you. The one where it's the full pound of food has something like 130% your daily value of fat... barf....

Go for Dinty Moore microwaveable meals. They're only 290 calories and 9 grams of fat, plus they taste awesome and are filling. Turkey and mashed potatoes or Turkey and Stuffing and Gravy are amazing.....

Do you guys really eat TV dinners every night? I dunno how you can stand it, it's cheaper still to just buy food and spend 15-20 min to make a meal, and it probably will still taste 50times better...My roommate is like that, he microwaves everything, I wouldnt be able to stand that stuff every night.

I cook, but it's usually stuff like hamburger helper or macaroni & cheese.

I only have a T.V. dinner maybe two nights a week. But man they're good.

I guess when you're a poor, starving college kid, you need all the fat and other stuff you can get in one meal, since that's usually all you can afford

Now come on. My Roommates and I are broke as hell right now.

I made a darn good dinner for us last night, and it was cheap as hell.

I took like 6 or 7 raw potatoes, chopped them up into cubes, and threw them in a pan. Took like, half an onion, chopped that and threw it in the pan with the potatoes. I put a splash of oil on that, and cooked them for 15 mintues or so. Then I took a full Polish Sausage, cut that into cubes, and threw that in the pan too. Cooked the whole thing for another 10 minutes or so, and served. I also threw a can of those pillsbury rolls in the oven.

All three of us were, full, it was good as hell, and cheap :D

                              Potatoes: $1.00 for a 10lb bag.
                              Onion: $.79 for one
                              Polish Sasuage: $3.00 ish
                              Rolls: $2.00

Only problem is, 90% of the time, college students don't have the time to cook. I maybe cook like that maybe once a week, otherwise its hamburger helper and like for us. :(
