• Who is from Vegas?

Ok my dad came to me the today and expessed the thought that he wants to move to Vegas. The only thing that bugs me is i have friends here but if they move i don't really have anywhere to stay and i don't have a good enough paying job to really stick here by myself. I'd have to sell all my stuff and buy something junky and that ain't happenin'. Anybody from Vegas have anything to say about the city and how it is there? Are there any emmissions testing there on cars? i guess i'm curious. He'll probably not even go through with it but i know he really wants to move out there. I would love it there but like i said i was planning on starting school up here in the fall but i could find an Auto tech school out there i'm sure. Just would like some input. Thanks Guys

    I'm from Vegas!

Las Vegas is home to the Las Vegas F-Body Association. Almost all of them are z28s/Trans Ams, but they are pretty cool. I bought my entire rear end from one of the guys in that club. You can check out their website here.

There are a lot of job opportunities in Vegas. If you're mechanically inclined, there is a huge section on Sahara that is all car dealerships and on the northside there are exhaust/car shops galore. Not to mention there are thousands of jobs in the casinos.

The weather is HOT. I really like the heat, but 110 degrees every day over summer will get to some people. It hardly ever rains, so it's easy to keep your car clean in that aspect.

Yes, there is emissions testing. They're fairly strict on it too. Your car has to be registered annually, and every time that you register your car has to be checked for emissions.

There is always construction going on. Always. Almost no matter what road you take, there will be construction. A major part of highway 95 is being expanded to four lanes each way, so that's going to be there for a while. However, driving is fun in vegas. Lots of ricers to have fun with .

If you've got any more questions you can IM me at RansidZer0 on AIM.
