  • abortion...not a sappy story, but MY heartfelt request.

My sister got pregnant unexpectedly when she was 19. She had decided to keep the baby, but when the sixth month came around she went into labor. After a c-section and alot of other things my sister gave birth(kinda) to a little girl weighing just 2 lbs, 2 ounces. after this little girl had lost weight down to 1 lb 9 ounces she underwent open heart seurgery*. they cut open hear rib cage with was about 1/5 of her back. her skin was so tender you couldnt hold her or it would tear. her premie diaper was as big as a regular wallet, but covered past her belly button she was soo small. we call her a miracle baby. her name is Ruthann. will continue more at bottom of page...

i know the last thing some people want to hear is some political thing. and i know some may have had abortions, or have a girlfriend that has had one...i have had several friends and acquaintances that have had them and it has been hard for me to bear.

the reason i am writing this post is because "partial birth abortion"

regardless of religion or whatever i am asking that you call 1-877-989-2255 and put your name in the petition of bringing partial birth abortion to a STOP. if you have read my story above you will see why i feel this way, along with my following what the WORD (BIBLE) teaches.

please dont make this a thread that will be a flame war, then locked and deleted.

do what you can to spread the word and the phone number to help bring partial birth abortion to a stop, well at least to supreme court. the government has asked for a certain number of people that need to call in order that it bring this to supreme court to be considered.

ruthann went from weighing about as much as my bible to starting to get hard to carry. I am refered to as unca jeremy (uncle that is) i held her while she was hooked up to oxygen, watched her first steps, heard her first words, and witnessed the growth of her bleach blond curly hair. I made her smile alot and still do. my summer break from school i went back to my home town and her mom(my sis) works at my dad's restaurant so she is there or with my dad alot. my heart melts when i see her, because she runs to me with open arms and jumps screaming, "Jeremy is here! Jeremy is here!" then i pick here up and cradle here 3 year old body as she hugs my like she will never see me again. i dont know why but she gets the most excited with me. we eat chicken strips together and go for jammin rides in my cars while she mumbles the words to songs she doesnt know .

in my story about my neice i in no way intend it to be a saab story or some little happy story to forward to everyone across the earth,(im still forwarding it to my friends though), but to display how happy i am to have her, hold her, and play with her as compared to my sister getting an abortion.

my reasoning for this post is based on the fact that partial birth abortion is killing babies (all abortion is killing babies), little girls and boys like my neice, that could have survived with less attention that Ruthann had. I almost cry when i think of Ruthann at only 2 lbs possibly getting poisoned or whatever they do to babies. infact i almost cried writing about Ruthann at all. She is so precious and i hope you all will help in allowing more babies grow up to be someones neice or nephew or...

Sad story and Ironic to, My neighboors daughter had a baby 6 months premature and her mid name is ruthann. She was 2 lbs 11 ounces when she was born.

How ever, I am for abortion so I won't be calling. Either way, this post will probaly start a big mess, no matter how it was intended.

You can't make a post like this and not expect it to turn into a slug fest.

I would much rather some homeless crack-addicted whore have an abortion than to bring another child into the world so that he/she can become another drug addict career criminal.

We already have enough parents that have given away their children to orphanages because they weren't wanted. It's a choice between a quick and painless abortion or a lifetime of growing up in an orphange knowing nobody wanted them and turning to drugs and crime.

Thank You. This is why I don't want you to leave.

My wife was a miracle baby too. She was underweight baby partially because her mom smoked and her dad smoked too.

She was born underweight and immediately got an open heart surgery. At age 8 she got another one and a third one at age 14. There's a lot of things she can't do. But I do put her on weight training to strenghten her muscles and to workout her cardio a bit.

People who are for abortion are those who never had one. To those that did usually 95% of the time will say that they had a deep sympathy that they have killed someone.

I'm one of the few who have seen what an actual aborted fetus. It's only half the size of our thumb and it looks very human. The baby has either had it's head crushed, limbs pulled off or body split in half. All 28 babies I saw dead. What we did is give each one a name and properly buried them with in a cementery. This really changed my stance.

Ofcourse now with technology, they just suck it all out into pieces. So no more incidents like this.

I always say children don't deserve to suffer-born or unborn.

My mother-in-law was a crack addict whore when she was pregnant with my wife, and my wife turned out just fine.

the only way abortion should be considered is if the mother is at risk of dieing. my cousin was a high risk pregnancy due to heart problems. they told her that it wasnt in her best intrest to keep the baby. she ignored them and went on to full term and it almost cost her her life. i think in a situation like that where you could lose your life abortion is exceptable. any other reason is just a piss poor excuse.

the only other reason i can see abortion being exceptable is in a rape case. which i can fully understand.

partial birth abortion is outrageous as far as I am concerned
1st trimester abortion... I am for that
I will call the number, and if it is for specifically partial birth then I will agree, otherwise I am not

Abortion is a decision between the WOMAN and her doctor. Period! Everybody else needs to keep out of it!

Why is it that when I see Pro-Life demonstrations I see MEN, and when I see Pro-Choice demonstrations I see WOMEN?

It is a WOMAN's decision, but since a lot of men still treat women as less than a man I understand why they see the need to tell women what to do.

I think it really is a woman's choice.... I do believe that there should be more restrictions though. That way people can assured that it won't be used unless it is necessary, like what vanbibbler posted.
