I am amazed by the driveline in the SRT-4, I just don't care for sedans. If it was a coupe, I would consider thinking about looking into the possiblities of maybe becoming interested in them.

Get what will make YOU happy. In MY opinion, they're hella fast little NEONS. But you can strap a jet engine to the roof of a pinto and all you have is a fast pinto; not an amazing car.

I know a guy with one that would probably show my Z28 his ugly taillights, but he has to look at this in his garage every night, and I get to look at this. Just keep that in mind.

I've seen a SRT-4 without the wing, looks great. Let's see if I can dig up the photo...

I'm pretty sure you can paint over Carbon-Fiber. All silver, like my current Neon, baby!

Biggest.. Misconception.. evAR!

Tell me one thing they have in common with one-another besides looks.

Engine? Nope, not even close.
Tranny? Nope..
Suspension? Try again.
Interior? HA!
Wheels? Nope.
Chassis? They're realted, but SRT-4 is stiffened

ooo! ooo! I know.. Its FWD, so they're related!

Like I said, biggest misconception ever.

I feel obligated to say get an LS1, but I know that the srt-4 is alot more practical of a car.

One thing it has going for it is its a dodge. Dodge = Mopar. Mopar = Factory built, dealer installable, mods that dont void warrenty.

I'd say if you like the looks of it its a mighty fine car to have.

Hey, smart guy. Make this same argument over at LS1tech. I can tell you two things that will happen.

First, you will be laughed at.

Second, everytime you type in SRT-4, LS1tech's infrastructure will change that to NeonNeonNeon.

Case closed. If you're looking for balls to the wall power, don't get an SRT-4, because you'll be craving for much, much more.

Hmm, last I checked a car that weighs around 2600lbs and has an output of 300-someodd, plus HP (depending on what you plan on doing with it) isn't shabby at all. But what do I know, I drive an old man's car. :D

</font>
That is a very big similarity right there Which is probably why people say it is a fast neon, because it looks exactly like a neon with a hood scoop and wing

I think they are nice cars.

I personally don't like neons, I think they are disposable, but I don't consider the SRT-4 to be in the same catergory at all.

The engine is FAR superior to any other neon, it it built strong for boost. Everything on the car is better than a regular neon.

It is a very quick car, especially for a 4 cylinder. It is very upgradable also, as mentioned.

The only thing holding me back is the looks. The only thing I like is the intercooler on the front.

I say buy it if you like it. I know a few LS1 and Lt1 guys who have bought them and love them.
