• Bought a 02 WS6 on Saturday..

Well I was driving past a Dodge dealership in Virginia Beach when I saw a Black WS6 sitting on the lot.. I said to myself what the hell I am always down for a test drive.. so I pull in and take a look at the sticker.. Its a 2002 Black with Tan/black leather interior.. It is a 6 speed and they were asking 18,999... So I went inside the dealer building and My buddie Mike who has a 10 second lightning is the store manager.. So we start to talk and come to find out the car was traded in on a Hemi Daytona Truck.. the car has 37,000 miles on it with the extended warrenty, and has a loudmouth, 3inch highflow catted Y-pipe,SLP air lid, ram air from underneath metal thing from SLP, SLP mass air meter, and smooth bellows.. So he tells me take it out for a hour or so and let me work some numbers If he can cut me a deal on it.. I told him I could afford around 15,000 with my other car payment on the 1998 firebird..So I took the car out for an hour or so and when I come back he says I can get you in the car for 15,800 tax tag included.. So I bought it.. I couldnt let a deal like that pass by..

Now the sad news is I sold my 1998 firebird to a friend of mine who is going out on a 6 month deployment on a submarine next month.. He told me take everything off of it that I wanted except he wanted the motor and exaust left the same.. So we are in the works of swapping over suspension parts rear ends and my nitrous kit to the T/A.. I will have a few parts for sale soon since he doesnt want to buy them from me since he is going with a Auto and stall.. So the car will remain around Virginia beach for the next 3 years at least..

That car up here would've sold for 30,000! They're so much more rare, I can't believe how cheap you guys get LS1's for.

Im having trouble seeing the sad part about this story, lol. You got a buyer right away for your old firebird, and hes your friend, AND you get to take off all the parts you want! You also got a WS6 for 3200 bucks below the sticker. Thumbs up man, good deal. :D Id gladly part ways with the old bird in that circumstance. Only reason I didn't cause its now officially, my SUV (like it wasnt before ).

Its sad To me because once he gets a tranny and puts another bottle on it and tune it he will destroy me with my WS6 on the bottle.. I still transfered my SLOW-V6 plates over to the T/A To always remind me of my firebird.. I will miss beating down Z06's with my V6.. Another thing is this message board.. Its so much of a better comunity then LS1tech or LS1.com.. I am still going to be around here everyday.. I just wish I had the money to finish off my car and run it. I never said I would sell my car for another car unless it was a C5 or A WS6 and I found this steal.. All my buddies with LS1's tell me wow you upgraded to a much better motor.. I tell them acually the 3.8 is one of the best motors ever.. The LS1 is more powerfull but that doesnt mean its a better motor..
