Jesus never wrote anything. His Apostles did only a couple of years after His death and Resurrection. These letters were kept in churches and circulated throughout. In the third CE. the Bible was put together by the Catholics and Christian Orthodox base only on the letters of Jesus' Apostles and canonized it. There were many other letters that were left out because considered written out by second gen. Apostles.

During the time of Jesus. Four Romans wrote a letter about him. Josephus a Roman pagan wrote a page long letter about him and he's not even a Christian.

I know a girl like that. I called her out on it, and she about went off on me. I myself am a Christian, I think freely. Wow, imagine that.

I know a lot of people that are Non christians (agnostic, atheist, other religions), that are very good moral people. I have nothing against them. When people just straight up start to BASH Christians because of the few who act like they can do what they want because God loves them...well, it irritates me. Don't get me wrong though..."christians" who do whatever they want because they say that Jesus loves them..that irritates me even more.

People can hide behind their "christianity", use it as a crutch, or use it to grow and prosper throughout their lives.

I do my best to follow good morals and be nice to people because 1) I feel it's the right thing to do. But 2) Moreover, because being a Christian, it's my duty.

Pardon the brutal honestly, but you asked. Religion is a made up thing that allows people to accept their world around them. The world is a diffucult and complex place and people like to thing they have some control over it. Religion helps them explain many things that science has yet to determine (but will). Religion allows people to have a moral compass without thinking.

People have diffuculty accepting we become worm food when we die. Believing in an after life allows people to cope with the death of loved ones and the eventual end of their own lifes.

Religions change over time. Once upon a time people believed in Zeus. or whoever. If there is a single god, then only one group of people are correct. The rest get damned to hell? Oi.

Oh boy, I could go on for hours, but I must get back to work.

the Bible is God breathed so therefore he wrote it using his followers. Gods not going to let it be destroyed even if someone of another religion gets ahold of it.
God didnt work miracles through awesome righteous people, he picked sinners and lowly fisherman. he picked the weakest to do the strongest things. it is Gods way of showing His Might.

Eee, I'll bite this one. As far as the bible never being proven wrong; doesn't the Bible state that the world is 6000 years old? How do dinosaurs relate to this picture? What about carbon dating which has proven certain pieces are over tens of thousands of years old?

What makes your religion anymore 'correct' than any other religion? They're all full of errors and contradictions? Do you not realize that the book you follow has been retranslated hundreds of times? Do you not realize that it's documented in history that a chunk of your book was rewritten to better suit the Romans?

You say it's clear that your ancestors were not ameobas. I say that you have absolute zero proof that there is a god. There is no hard evidence whatsoever that proves in any way whatsoever that there exists an all supreme being. There is proof of evolution though; in fact there is lots of proof. There might be gaps, yes, but we're working on that.

Saying intelligent design is a logical explanation is like accepting it when someone tells you that they have a 1000 horsepower car without them showing you anything. They simply write up a piece of paper saying 'Hi, I have 1000 horsepower.' and you simply accept it.

Saying evolution is a logical explanation is like accepting it when someone tells you that they have a 1000 horsepower car without them showing you every single piece of the car. They show you bits and pieces here and there. A supercharger here, a huge engine here, a nitrous bottle there. They don't show you every single piece though and leave it up to you to find the rest. Every once in a while you find a new piece that makes that 1000 horsepower seems more legit, but you still don't have the full picture.

Which sounds more logical to you? Accepting a theory based on facts and evidence, or accepting a theory based on .. well, stories.

That reminds me. I heard that apples do not grow in the area claimed to be the garden of Eden. Somebody somewhere (sorry, forget the details) rewrote the bible from whatever it was (a fig, I think) to be apple to help apples sales.

God is the one that ultamitely wants you to follow Him, the reason I want you to is because of Him. the way i feel against abortion is nothing compared to the way i feel against seeing anyone die in hell. God wants you all to live, God wants little unborn babies to live, infact he wants 4000 more a day to live in the U.S. alone.

God want us to live, and wants life to live, its the life's choice whether it is sustained or not. God gave us that choice, what we do with that is your own free will.

God will prevail in the end, with or without you. You always have a chance to sign up for life, until its too late

Not that I don't believe you about the carbon dating thing, but the only evidence I was able to find about its inaccuracies was at Christian websites and, well, that doesn't seem very neutral to me as far as proof is concerned.

Carbon dating may not be perfect, but nothing is. Out of the thousands of tests that there have been, you are telling me about a couple that have been off. If you could show me a non-biased source about this I'd appreciate it.

And I'm sorry, but what does a t-rex being a vegetarian have to do with any of this? You lost me

A quick google search suggests the apple is mentioned in the book of genesis. Phil collins might be involved. :-P

While we're on the topic of the t-rex being a vegetarian, it isn't just a simple guess that he's a meat eater. A lot of things are taken into consideration.

Most obvious is the shape of the teeth. The T-Rex has sharp teeth all around. It doesn't have any molars like we do. As well, by looking at the scratches on the teeth it can give them a little more proof on whether or not an animal is a meat eater.

Doing a little further research on the veggie t-rex, perhaps you're thinking of this guy:
