time for a replacement for my trusty 400mhz PII ;)
hehe I have an 18" LCD anyway. ;)

I am going gaming all the way with drafting being second. and I also won't be overclocking, if it gets slow i'll replace it ;) . I will be gettign all the parts after chirstmas unless I get antsy one day and go buy them sooner. this'll give me enough time to get back into the computer world of knowledge.

haha all these guys with older computers. 2 years ago I had a compaq with a 333 MHz AMD, I think 224 MB of ram, and an NVIDIA 440MX card, and the SB audigy platnum sound card in it. and that thing was BIT**'n lol. I currently have an emachines I got from best buy for 399. put a GForceFX 5200 PIC card in it, has 640 mB of ram and a 1.8 GHz celeron. I also still have the SB audigy card. I was thinking of getting the audigy 2 but I just don't see it as worth it for right now.

I've used the on-board audio solutions (AC97) on my past two systems and I don't personally see the need for an add-on audio card anymore. Not unless you're NUTS about audio quality or need to decode multiple channels for movies (and have the speakers to support it)
