I was wondering who everyone would like to see as Kerry's Vice President, and why. I'm especially interested in what the Democrats or Liberals on the board believe.
P.S. This post is not a place for discussion of politics or ideas. This is simply a place where each person can post who and why, and leave it at that. Perhaps if we do this right, it won't get locked.
I would have liked to see John McCain as the VP in some ways. I think that this would help to bridge the gap between the two parties, and perhaps have helped to lower the level of venom in the beltway.
i still believe that edwards will be president, or at least on the ticket in 2008. i was watching nader a couple of nights ago and he was furious that kerry considered mccain as vice prez, but you all know nader's "duopoly of american politics" speech. i'm ready for a third party myself, either right or left or neither (libertarian?) because i am sick of the same old schmucks and their schmucky tactics.

yeah, i would have like to see mccain win in 2000. Really, there aren't very many politicians who can walk the moderate rope very well within party lines, i think Mccain does that better than anybody. Kerry is more of a republican than bush, (bush is too far right to be considered republican kerry is like dead center on a political scale) and I don't like that. There isn't a candidate to choose that's liberal enough for me, so like wtf are us liberals supposed to do? Just bend over? It's time for some major reforms, like economically do they allow monopolies? No? What about oligopolies, cartels or trusts? No? Then why the hell allow them at least on such a large scale in our politics?
I saw the edwards thing coming. It just made sense.
