I see it as a warm and special thing. After all the lady and you have been through, after everything she knows now that she did not know then - especially all the bad things - would she do it again? Answer = "Yes." That answer is worth everything.

The answer is this:

Diamond sales have been down the past couple years. Companies like De Beers have to do something to save their profits and keep their stocks up. So what do they do? They create a new commercial creating a new occasion that you need to buy some sort of diamond for. Prime examples: 25th Anniversary Rings (past, present and future), the re-marriage rings, right hand rings and the new popularity of "bling" as in giant diamond covered pendants. It's just a marketing campaign, a very successful marketing campaign I might add. Women see these adds and think, why not me?
