Yes, as long as it's American-made.

I don't know why, but to me the Mossbergs feel loose and cheaply made (my opinion so deal with it). If I was you I would Defiantly look into a Remington 870 or a Winchester model 1300. I bought the 1300 and it has NEVER failed me yet on a hunt or skeet shooting.

870...you can buy em at wal-mart for under $250...only advantage i know of with a mossberg shotgun is the safety location...at the rear of the reciever...if you plan on using it as a defense type weapon that's a big plus...extremely easy to find in the dark in a stressful situation...if you lookin at cheap buy a maverick 88...also sold at wal-mart for a $159 bucks...samething as a 500 made by mossberg as well...

lol just blasting stuff..maybe some trap...and shooting bunnies ;)
If youre just looking to shoot trap and just pissing around with the gun might I suggest a .22. They are very cheap, and like $5 buys you 500 rounds. They are loads of fun, and you can get something that is very accurate for shooting trap.

im thinking a dual gun combo
one for playing around and the other for playing around with less damage/bunny gun for fun.

stick with a 12 or 20. .410 doesn't shoot very far at all...

to the person that posted about the 16ga. Its starting to come back in popularity. Shells could be hard to find for a while, but its easier now.

Why wouldnt you hunt with one? That is all I use deer hunting. Ithaca 37 16ga. Much lighter to carry than an 870 or 1100. Little more punch than a 20ga. Accurate out to 60-70 yards. I brush hunt so I rarely get a longer shot than that, plus I hunt w/ open sights. Ive killed nearly 30 deer in 10 years with it and its taken a hundred more before I owned the gun.
