Only 3 or 4 tenths faster than other stock internal cars, and the others have weighed in alot heavier, just FYI. There have been 3300+ lb cars running low 11's with stock heads/cam. I'd like to see him running in the ls1tech series where you have to have a full interior and weight in at 3350ish lbs.

Don't get me wrong, that pretty fast, but Hondas go 11's with less power than we have, because they are SOO light.

I don't know if Magnus reads this board anymore or not, but I give him congratulations. I remember that being a big goal of his and I am glad he finally accomplished it.

That is a wicked picture of his car in the air too :D

I don't think any event that says your car HAS to weigh this amount is a worth while event.

He has put a lot of work into his car reguardless of how much he stripped out.

No one says anything to James for having a stripped car when he breaks records......

Overall Congrats it's been a while in the making!

Not a worth while event?? ALL events have that, except dinky TNT's and stuff. ALL of the LS1tech series and EFI National races have a minimum weight, which helps even the fiels so no Honda's with an LS1 in them can come rule the class.

Noone says anything to James for it, except me, because it is a V6 car and we need all the fast timeslips we can get. I'd say there are AT LEAST 50+ naturally aspirated, stock internal LS1's in the 11's. If Magnus added ballast to the trunk like everyone has to do to meet weight requirements at the races, he'd be going 11.3's or so like the rest.

And to clarify, I never said he wasn't hauling ***. HE IS! But to say it's a world's record, when only a handful of the big HP guys on that site run at that weight, is kind of lame.

I understand that and I know almost all "qualified" events have requirements such as that.

Although he swapped in the V8 that weight would still be achieved buying it from the factory with LESS work.

I understand also that a swapped LS1 civic would be a quite unfair advantage, but the way I look at it myself is given the EXACT same platform to work with I don't believe he did anything to his car that should keep it from being a world record.

That's just My Opinion not trying to start anything over it. Just want to give him credit for all the work he's put into that car.

OneQuickV6 and Jerriko - Give the guy his moment, Jesus. He did 100% of the work on his car. For being sponsors, I'd expect a better vibe for an accomplishment in the F-Body community.

OneQuickV6 has nothing to do w/any sponsors. He USED to, but he doesnt work there anymore. The 10.98 is a world record being that he is the first SI LS1 to run a 10, regardless of weight. He doesnt have the LS1tech class (whatever its called) record but he has the first 10 second SI LS1. It's still a record.

AWESOME Job Keith!!! If you ever read this...

Complain all you want guys, but until you have a 10second LS1 period, let alone stock internals, you can't say ****.

Jerriko and OneQuick again, why am I not surprised that you two are *****ing again...

I wouldn't talk **** about anybody if I thought it was the most outlandish thing in the world to reuse a roller lifter. Asshat...
