• Is it weird to not enjoy birthdays?

Lately I been catching some flak from my friends for not telling them when my birthday is. I decided a while ago that I'd just forget about my birthday and stop telling people about it. I didn't want to be like some of my loser friends who go ape s*** over it and tell people 2 months in advance in order to get tons of presents. Since my last birthday, very few material things have made me happier.

But yeah, a lot of the girls on my floor keep asking when it is, and I just keep telling them to stop asking because I don't want anyone to celebrate it. They get really pissed off about it.

Weird? Not weird? Some input would be nice.

Hardly any of my friends or I tell each other when our birthdays are anymore.

16, 21, 40 and 65 years old seem to be the milestones that everyone around here celebrates.

You're not weird. After 21 birthdays are kinda "blaaa". As long as my immediate family and girlfriend knows, thats all that matters to me.

its not weird if you dont tell your guy friends, me and my friends never celebrate each others bdays except for 18 and 21. But if hot girls ask when it is... good lord man, tell them and let them celebrate with you

Only two of them are hot, and both have boyfriends. Although only one of the boyfriends I actually don't want to piss off (he's one of my suitemates, and cool as hell).

Still haven't decided whether I'm going to seduce the girl with the lame boyfriend, but by the time I come back from winter break I'll know.

Meh, birthdays suck. I like cards more than gifts even though I will show genuine appreciation for what I recieve. I love getting other people gifts for their birthdays, though. What I most love doing for people is making a gift (no, not ghetto string attached to gum to a tissue paper box...) For example, I've spent a few months of my free time building my nephew a Star Wars Episode 1 Trade Federation tank, working on superdetailing it to the best of my abilities (minor as they may be, lol). It should be done within the next month. I hope. :D

I dont like birthdays so no you are not alone. On my birthday, everyone is a hypocrite, and I have to become a hypocrite too to pretend I am enjoying myself, when in all honesty I dont give a sh-it.

i looked forward to 16 all my life. now that i'm here, i'll be looking forward to 21. 18 seems to be overrated... nothing special really happens. you "legally" become an adult. i have a 19-year-old friend that i'm more mature than, and i'm 3 years younger lol.
