Was just out with the adjuster and after crunching numbers, he said that he was coming up with over $4500 worth of repairs including labor. they will only pay 75% of fair market value which is what I estimate to be $4125

I think what I may do is buy back the car for anywhere between $500-$1000, and use the insurance check to get a used 96-97 camaro or firebird and just do a complete engine,PCM, transmission, rear end, exhaust swap into the new car. Hell the engine only has 63K on it and the transmission is completely rebuilt with shift kit and 2800 stall. 3.42 rear end with LSD and full 3" catback with high flow cat and headers.

Do you all have any other sugestions?

I figured it was totalled looking at the pics. IMHO you are thinking along the right lines buying it back and using it as an aftermarket source for another cheap f-body.

If you could buy it back for $500-$1k, I'd do it... you could swap the mods, and part it out...

hell be worth $500 just to have a spare motor and rear.

I am parting it out. Maybe when I sell my house within the next 6 - 8 months I will use that to buy a LT1 or LS1
