No offense by why isn't it? I guess your right most people fly to China and Russia for surgeries. No the worlds wealthy fly to the US for major surgeries and treatments.

funding, and costs for it are definitely not perfect but as the world goes we are one of the top countries.

And Stefan, I am actually a little surprised you hate bush so much.

sure giving the top rich people a tax break seems like he is only helping his buddies. But the top 10% of the money class control nearly half the money in the US. YOu give them a tax break they have more money. What do rich people do that the average american DOES NOT do. They invest the money, by a good half the money in the economy being invested more and more, and lower interest rates and such.(look at the statistics of what percentage the rich invest compared to the average person) Companies do better, when copanies do better, they pay their employees better, when employees(you and me) get paid better we have more money, and we turn around and buy stuff which stimulates the economy even more.

Its not a tax break the rich so they can become more financially sound. Its give a tax break and lower insurance rates so the rich, invest there big bucks .

As for thinking we should have health care paid for and you are complaing about taxes!?&gt;!?!?!?! Sweden, Switzterland, etc. have full healthcare paid? Most countries pay WAAAY more taxes, in fact I think Sweden specifically was higher, like their tax bracket was something like 50%!!! I'm sure the US citizens wanna raise taxes 25-15%(depending on your bracket)

I sort of like a private healthcare system, its the american way, that way everyone competes, to make a newere better product, and when that happens, america wins, because we get the better product at a better price.

HONESTLY people, I was hardcore, anti-bush, but when you elect the president, don't just look directly at "WE ATTACKED IRAQ AND NO WMD!!!" LEt that be an MAJOR part of your descision, but don't base your descision on president over 1 issue. Look at everything else. And make a descision. I was anti-bush and I am leaning towards bush.

I notice alot of Kerry supporters say 2 main things abotu bush, we should not have gone into Iraq, and he can't speak well. There is more to the running a country then just that.
</font>[/QUOTE]Yeah but there's a lot more to hate about him than that. Look at all the jobs Americans have lost in the past 4 years. Look at the free trade agreement with China that's gonna open up next year. And IMO the whole war in Iraq was nothing more to inflate gas prices so the Bushs and all their already super rich friends make a damn fortune off it. F*ck Bush....f*ck him right in the ear!

Why shouldn't Bush have a sense of humor? He's spent the last 4 years f*cking the American people to death and got away with it!

I'm not voting against Bush because he went to war with Iraq (well not completely), or because he can't speak. I'm voting against Bush because he took a great nation and turned the entire world against us (at least what countries weren't already against us). When 71% of the next largest superpower (the EU) believes WE are the greatest threat to world peace and stability I cannot sit here and say this guy is doing a good job.

I'm sorry but having Poland as one of our key aliances doesn't really comfort me.

True to a point, while the economy actually tends to be a big circle. Lately many economists believe the US economy is being driven more by consumer spending.

Consumer spending accounts for roughly two-thirds of economic activity in the United States. Hence its important role in shaping the economy.

who gives a **** about what other countires think about us? newsflash, europeans have always despised americans. Why? because we have a better standard of living here.

an anology one can use. why do people hate the lakers (or any winning sports team for that manner). one answer. jeolousy.

do you think that if a poll was taken in america about france's prime minister, and the overwhelming thought was that all americans hate frances prime minister, that france would change their goddamn prime minister because of what another country thinks? hell no! so why should we, americans, give two ****s about what france, or any other country thinks about us.

what i love is how countries always critisize america for being the "world police" yet when a natural disaster, or a genocide takes place the first country everyone looks to is america.

Lets see here, what other "leaders" have invaded other countrys under the pretense that it made their country safer? Hitler, Stalin, and in modern times the Isralies, and look how great it turned out for them. They have suicide attacks every single day. At least Hitler, Stalin and the Isralies have the excuse of creating a buffer zone. We just did it under completly false curcumstances, and bush still wont admit it.

And Mustangeater, your absolutly right we have the best healthcare in the world, but we only offer it to the insanely rich. As a whole from the poorest of the poor to the richest of the rich on average we are lacking.

The Wall Street Journal's famously conservative Editorial Page, in a commentary piece by Niall Ferguson - writes:

"It is doubtless not the most tactful question to ask on the eve of the Republican convention, but might it not be better for American conservatism if George Bush failed to win a second term?

Yes, I know, the official GOP line is that nothing could possibly be as bad for the U.S. as a Kerry presidency. According to the Bush
campaign, John Kerry's record of vacillation and inconsistency in the Senate would make him a disastrously indecisive POTUS -- an IMPOTUS, as it were. By contrast, they insist, Mr. Bush is
decisiveness incarnate. And when this president makes a decision, he sticks to it with Texan tenacity (no matter how wrong it turns out to be).

It is a mistake, however, to conceive of each presidential contest as an entirely discrete event, a simple, categorical choice between two individuals, with consequences stretching no further than four years."

Ferguson contends that, as the Eisenhower victory in 1956 led to a Kennedy win and Democratic domination through the 1960's, and as a
conservative "dance of death" following the John Major victory in England in 1992 led to a Tony Blair/Labour party resurgence in 1997,
that a Bush victory in 2004 could be an overall disaster for the Conservative movement.

The lesson of [this] history is that a second Bush term could be more damaging to the Republicans and more beneficial to the Democrats than a Bush defeat. If he secures re-election,
President Bush can be relied upon to press on with a foreign policy based on pre-emptive military force, to ignore the impending fiscal crisis (on the Cheney principle that "Deficits
don't matter") and to pursue socially conservative objectives like the constitutional ban on gay marriage. Anyone who thinks this
combination will serve to maintain Republican unity is dreaming; it will do the opposite.

Meanwhile, the Dems will have another four years to figure out what the Labour Party finally figured out: It's the candidate, stupid. And when the 2008 Republican candidate goes head-to-head with the American Tony Blair, he will get wiped out.

Along those lines, it could be said that a vote for John Kerry in 2004 is a vote for John McCain and against Hillary Clinton in 2008.

                          Think about it.
