Same with the downloaders. Destroy the computers of a large group of downloaders and see what happens when the article hits slashdot, Fark, etc and works its way into the cracker underworld. The RIAA website "hacks" are nothing compared to the binary bloodbath that would ensue as a result of the destructive actions of a few people with god complexes.
I got a feeling someone is gonna retalliate and start vandalising some cars. I would.

Sounds good to me. If you want to race, take it to the track. Perhaps they'll catch more of those damn street racers and crush their cars too.

Although from the sound of it, it seems like they bought it at an auction, then crushed it. Sounds like anyone could have bought it?

I consider this rediculous. Get caught street racing once.. crush car. Get caught drunk driving, get a classroom, a fine and maybe some jail time. None of which equals the pricetag of some of the cars I know that street race. This is just political bull**** at its finest.

Problem is, most won't give the opportunity for a track to race at.
Tulare's (my hometown) airport is rarely used, if EVER. There was a big petition to let the kids go out there and race, at their own risk, and the city turns it down. Then they get pissed when we're racing out by some farm at 1 am.

Give me a friggin' break here.
Sometimes things can't be completely abolished and our elected officials need to accept that and compromise with the "wrong-do'ers".

How can they consider the car "a nuisance"? Why don't they just call the kid driving the car a nuisance and crush him? At least then they could sell the car for some funding...
