so yeah.. yesterday i decided to change spark plugs in the car.. well i've done this more times than i can count (bout every 5-6k miles)and have gotten pretty good at it. however, since we didnt have any autolites in stock at work, i went for ac-delcos.. so after bout 1.5 hours, i'm all finished and everything is buttoned up. Crank the car... freakin misfire.. one cylinder is down. so i go and check all the wires but everything looks good.. figure ill just get a new set of wires cause i've had them on for a year and i get free replacements anyways.. so i do that. this morning i quick pop the new ones one.. still have the miss.. i'm really not pleased by this.. i cant drive my car like this and all my roomates are off at work. so i'm just stuck here now til someone can give me a ride to get new plugs.. after this i doubt i'll ever use ac plugs again. anyone else ever had this problem with ac plugs??? or am i just the lucky one.. lol..

I have AC plugs becuase that is what the RK Sport powerdyne instructions suggested to put in. I have not had any problems til recently but I think it is a bad wire. I have a 2002 and still have 3 out of 6 of my original wires. I only changed the first 2 because of my headers, the straight boot ones would not work and I just changed another original one becuase that one was a little to close to the header and eventually melted through causing it to miss.Modifications:<br />headers, throtle bod spacer, flowmaster, high flow magnaflow carsound cat, powerdyne sc with 2.9\" pulley and by-pass valve, walboro 255 fuel pump, spec stage 2 clutch, and HP Tuners

NGK's are awesome plugs. Cheap too, check them out. I wish the LT1 has the room the 3.4 does to change them... it needs it. But yeah, check out NGK. I've had good performance with them in my 93 V6.1995 Patriot Red T-Topped Z28 A4<br /><br />Mystery rebuild in progress.<br /><br />Soon to have 383 ways to beat KBreezy and Shane. :D

I've had AC Delco Professionals in my car for about 35k now, love em...along with my 19.99 Xact wires. :D

well i had talked to the guy that runs our commercial sales department at autozone and apperently there was a bad batch of ac-delco plugs that came out recently. the guy at the local chevy dealer told him they've been havin a hell of a time with them. so i guess i got one of those. in any case, autolites have always served me well.. dojo, i use a standard plug, not a platinum. those type of plugs do start to fall off after like 10-12k or so. i just change them early cause i love to work on my car for whatever excuse i can come up with..lol..Phill<br /><br />95 camaro... need money for turbo project... <br />94 S10 Blazer - winter beater - infinity system to be installed soon<br /><br />\"The man who says it cant be done should not interrupt the man doing it...\"

I only use AC/Delco plugs in our '97 Firebird.
