Who insures ya'll? The state? :[

      I pay $960 (for full coverage) a year and I'm 19 with a 2002 v6 Camaro.

      To Add a Trans Am/Mustang Gt/Camaro SS is only +$50 a month

Dave, before you do anything, look at insurance. :D

is the car 100% in your name?
or are you bouncing the rates off your parents?
I just got a geico quote (not the cheapest, but a gnereal idea) and they quoted me at 1490 a year for full coverage for my 2002 v6
but I'm 22 and the quote was off a clean record
if that rate is in your name, I need their phone number because having it in my mom's name (47 and a clean record) is 1200 a year so I would like to know how the heck you are pullin that off!

Beezy... you live in east lansing.. to normal people, that's the sticks. So yeah.. ins is going to be cheaper. the older the car, also makes it cheaper.

the lid and exhaust on the Hugger one will not make an issue if buying. You'd most likely do that anyway too. Just make sure other stuff was not done nor was it raced.

Look for "older" folks looking to get rid of toys. many will take a loss when they have issues and off them. and have patience. ;)

Ya. If you buy a fast car, insurance is gonna scrape you. I pay a shade under 3k a year for my car, and it isnt a z28.. The insurance on that was scar-y.

I can't wait to see what my own insurance policy will be once I get my license back, be lucky if it isn't in the $2400 area, and I will be 25 when this happens.

I did quote Progressive, they gave me a quote of $183 a month, full coverage, $250 deduct.
