Let's talk about dog hair...

Yeah, so I decided I want to dye my boxer a color, just for a little bit... few questions though:

1. How long does it take for boxers to shed all their hair? Like one full cycle. In other words, how long would it keep the color?

2. Would normal hair dye kill her?

3. Any color suggestions?

1- about 6-10 months
2- shouldn't, but how will you keep it from getting in her eyes? I wouldn't take the chance.
3- "IF" you do, go with Purple or Yellow!

get the stuff that washes out with sampoo...who knows your dog might like it. i just gave my dog a bath..shes half german shepard and half collie. now shes all fluffy [img]graemlins/banana.gif[/img] :D

Seriously don't dye your dog.

Girlfriend is in 1st year of grad school to become a veternarian. Said hair products are tested for humans, dog's skin is much more sensitive to chemicals. Not to mention the dog could get very sick if it started licking the chemicals while your dying him.

I got the cone to put over her head yesterday so she wouldn't lick anything. I figured I wouldn't die her whole body, just her white markings. She fawn with white markings under her body.
