2005 GTO on order!!!

Ok well I put my name down for a silver 2005 GTO, 6 speed, black leather int. It is being made on the 27th of this month and will be here by mid Dec.

I drove a 2004 GTO today at lunch and HOLY SHIZA!!! That is one fast car!! I drove the 2002 SS and this GTO was faster. I did a burnout all the way to 3rd gear. I took it up a mountain road and it just hugged it. The steering ratio is not as tight as a Z28/TA or my V6 with the Y87 but its still really nice. There is a little screen just under your speedo and tac that tells you everything much like a BMW. It give you the MPG, speed, trip, avg speed, Miles left with the gas you have and even shows you everything that is shown on your radio like the FM station or CD you are on. A lot of the engine vibration made its way up the stick but I got used to it. Very little trunk room for my subs but I can make it work if I build a new box. The exhaust sounds GREAT!!! No need for a cat back but I will be putting in a couple electric cutouts for a ground shaking ride when I feel the need.

The SS you drove was crap then. Torque management OWNS the current GTO. I drove a GTO last week and laughed at how calm it was. I guarantee TM will hold back the new GTO a good amount, too.

Congrats on your purchase, though. I am a fan of the GTO, many are not. I'd LOVE to have one as a daily driver.

Torque management...you'd let that of all things stop you from buying a car??? Do you not realize how soon tuning will be available for those cars? Torque management is definitely NOT something to disuade you!
