In all seriousness, come clean from the beginning. Also, that on-again off-again stuff makes me suspicious of any relationship. Maybe if you all broke up in the first place it wasn't meant to be anyway. Take advantage of being free and being able to go for any piece of *** you see.

Being nice takes time to get anywhere, but so far I cannot complain. I've always been a nice guy and never run in to any problems until now -- I'm going to figure out what the **** she is thinking this week.....

Being a nice guy always pays...it pays you! You need to figure out why you are being a nice guy, are you being him to try and get chicks or are you being him because that is who you are and you enjoy being nice? If you are doing it to get chicks and what not, you are a idiot, it isn't going to work. However if you are doing it becuase that is who you are and you enjoy helping others and being nice to others, being the nice guy pays every damn time!
And by the way, i am a nice guy and i get more than enough chicks...so don't worry about that, if you arn't getting chicks, it isn't because you are a "nice guy", i open doors, never cheat, pay for everything, the only double standards i hold are to myself and so on.

That post above is for everyone and this one is for you man...for you to call yourself a nice guy is a joke! You call yourself a nice guy when you are cheating one her!!!? That is disgusting, there is pretty much nothing worse you can do! That is the definition of not being a nice guy, that is like saying i killed the person but i admitt to it, so it is okay right? NO! it isn't! All that means is that you were man enough to fess up to your actions, now be a man and take the consiquences of you horrbile actions!
If you said that you wiped the slate clean that means you can't hold that past against her...therefore it is irrelevant that she cheated on you in the past, you are on the wrong side of that agrument.
The point of the story is not never to come clean! It is never to do something hurtful like that to someone that you care about! You are getting the wrong lesson out of this...that is like getting caught stealing money and saying the lesson is to be more careful next time, no the lesson is NOT TO STEAL THE DAMN MONEY! I am sorry for coming down on you so hard but you are doing a couple of the things that piss me off the most out of anything all in one post, cheating, not learning from you mistakes, and trying to get sympathy when you are the one at fault. And don't say she did it first...for 2 reason, one you said you wiped the slate clean, and two that isn't a good reason, just walk away.

You have so much to learn. The real world will chew you up and spit you out without a second thought. There are so many people that will see you as the 'nice guy' then will take advantage of you being so nice. Trust me, I know from experience, I used to be extremely giving.

Am I still a nice guy? Yea, but I don't go out of my way to do things for peole like I used to, because I'm tired of being taken advantage of.

They broke up, as in no longer dating. He was free to bang any girl he wanted. He chose to mess around with her ex friend to get back at her, childish yes. Cheating, NO.

Endor like I said we broke up and a week later and a day after new years she had sex with this guy she had dated in the past...I was so fcccking pist I thought it was over forever and didnt give a damn. Her friend was an easy piece and I didnt care anyway (i was mad) then we got back together. An action caused a reaction (Kharma) even though I wished I wouldnt of done it.

And I am a nice guy in fact Im now learning exactly what camarospeedman said you do get taken advantage of and I hate that.....I say thank you even at the drive through window like 4 times....its natural...I am a nice guy but when your in a relationship since you were 16 and she was 15 you have to understand the philosophy I implemented to grow and develop without missing anything. I made a decision after we dated 2 years to break up and let her date other guys....reason...because she needed to understand how it was...2. Id rather get this out of the way now then when Im married to her. 3.If you can make it through all of this I think it makes you that much stronger. And 4 i believe (IMO)you should know a girl 7 years before you get married. You know her ins and outs and everything else. Id rather know who she has been with and everything else rather then not knowing. I believe you should be best friends not just married. Thats why relationships dont last now a days.....

I read a good article it said the reason relationships dont last now a days is because you have so many choices. They used the analogy of picking cereal at the store and how when our parents were young their were only a couple boxes to choose from so you stuck to one. Now thiers all kinds...you can get fruity pebbles but after college they get old or you can have raison brand but their no fun....or you can have lucky charms and captain crunch and mix them for the night....anyway....

The point is we all make mistakes....even if we are nice or not...but the nice guys always get caught...my friend cheats on his girl all the time and can live with himself....I couldnt do that. ANd the confidence thing is true...if you dont have it you gotta work to get it...girls can just sense it...and then they come to you...watch it happen...our cars cant do all the work lol.

You are wrong...nice guys only get taken advantage of by bad people! If you are a nice guy and you hang out with a good group of people that love you who you are and are good people them selves, you don't have to deal with all of this stuff.
And be more careful who you are nice to! I am a very nice guy, but not to a murder...get my drift. I am only nice to people that deserve my kindness, i give my respect only to those who deserve it. And frankly some slut who cheats on me deserves neither my respect nore my kindness...i think a good quote you should know is
People don't change people, you allow something someone does to change you. There is no one to blame but yourself.
You are letting a mistake that someone else made perminitally affect the rest of your life...think about that for a minute, does that make any sense at all? It might to you right now cause you are in a certain amount of pain, but i for one don't think that you should perminatly change who you are due to a mistake someone else makes.

My world isn't wonderful...and i did live on my own for a couple of years thankyou. Don't assume that because young that i am unexperianced. I know alot about the real world, my old best friend of 8 years also didn't stab me in the back until he got a girlfriend under him and for some reason that changed who he was...but i wasn't going to let that change who i was as a person. And when the girl that i loved cheated on me and i had helped her more than anything, i wasn't going to put walls up and keep that from letting me help others. Putting walls up to shut you off from the bad shuts you off from the good too. You defense mechanisms show nothing but your own weakness in my own opinion, your fright of getting hurt, and i personally will not let what a bunch of bad people do to me change who i am for the worse so that the rest of the world, and the couple other good people out there won't be able to experiance who i am and what i stand for...but if you are to weak to stand strong, than that is who you are.

Nice guys do finish last, unless you can pull off that little bit of arrogance that shows you are completely secure with yourself. like someone said earlier, its all about being able to give the girl that "this is a dominent male" feeling, some guys do it by being *** holes, some do it by being nice and showing confidence.

some girls gravitate to one or the other, if you're finding it hard to find the ones that go for nice and confident, suck it up, be a jerk, and get laid while you find the ones who like the nice you ;)
