    Think your smart?

    I few weeks ago my step father whom i sooo much love.(not) decided to take away my hp pavilon ze5400...that i purchased with my own money..and when i got it back today...i was no longer admin...and there was some parental control thing downloaded on my computer, by the name of CONTENT PROTECT...i tried just going into c: and deleting all the files..and some were "acess denied" but i believe i got enough of the files that it wont load the program at start up..have not really tested it out fully (im at school on the school computer now) but my main thing is i want my admin controlls back..but its password protected..this is a easy as hell fix if i just reformated but i have over 6000 mp3's, 50 games, pictures from my digital camera, essays and school work..if any of you know how the hell to get my admin controlls back without reformating i think i would forever be in debt to you..and dont even think about asking me to ask him for the password or letting him login to my computer because, the guy is not a tard and knows im going to try and get it off

        Look up LC4 and run that. It should allow you to crack your admin password.(edit: they came out with LC5 now.... http://www.atstake.com/research/lc )

        Be careful...looks like your dad can see anything you do.

        If you really want to remove it just make a boot disk and then delete all the files from DOS. They won't be in use because the program won't be running, which is most likely where your access denied errors are coming from.

                Have this bootdisk and use it frequently works fine, but you have to be pretty familiar with linux, and always blank the password instead of restting it!

                              Just run a key logger and tell him you need something changed and he has to log into the admin to fix whatever problem you create that only an admin can do. Then you're set lol.
