• So where are all the Autocrosser/roadracers?

Seems we get a few people here and there... but mainly nikon.

So where are all you guys at, no one is ever in the autocross forum! Seems most the autocross talk comes up in the Appearance forum when someone posts an autoX pic...

either way crappy vids from today...

    Stock suspension/brakes with 50k miles
Kuhmo 712s with ~14k miles on them (so nice and hard :( )

Yesterday I noticed one of my front endlinks, the threads got stripped, and the nut was sliding up and down on the endlink. I slapped on some Poly heavy duty endlinks off the shelf from autozone, really tightened up the front of the car, big difference, over a screwed up endlink :D

Please excuse the video footage... taken my digital camara and the operator didn't really know how to use it.

yeah yeah I know I need to work on my driving some and more mods would help

I didn't win my class, but I beat out all the stock Gt class(v8 f-bodies and Mustangs), and all but one "prepared" (GTP class), and I only lost to that guy by 0.04X seconds.

So I am happy that my tired suspension, nearly stock v6 was keeping up with the modded v8 guys.

Thats why I never remember to go there
That course looks nice and wide open, around here it's usually the compact guys that design the course so it's alot of tight turns thats to their advantage. I've got a couple pics up of me on my cardomain site, haven't been yet this year because of school but I'll be going in June. What class do you run?

Oh yeah, and beating the v8 guys is the best, thats why I auto-x instead of drag. :D

YEah its the same way here with tight courses but this course was a little different, it was much more wide open and fun, got some speed through it. But it was kind short, top times were like 30 sec, and slowest times were like 40.

We usually have ones that are like 45 -60 seconds long but more tight, sometimes I can do it and sometimes it feels like I might have to do a 3 point turn to get through it

I autocross with a club not SCCA, their rules are slightly different.

I am classed in G-prepared, which means most any bolt on goes, and DOT Race tires approved(Kuhmos) Cant get into bigger displacement, FI, major weight reduction or chassis stiffening(subframes)

I should just go back down to stock but some of the guys in stock are just as hard to run as some of the guys in prepared, mainly a few Mini Type S

I haven't autocrossed in almost 2 years :( I just haven't had the time because I work every Sunday. I wanna see how my matrix does around the cones. I think because it's so light, and has a fairly good stock suspension setup, it should do quite well.

Here's a pic from my first autox

they do pretty well, I very easy to recover in... I was at autoshowinmotion, and I assumed the matrix being light, AWD and not terrible amounts of torquw I could just take it REALLY hard around the course, and I got it sliding sideways, alot easier to recover once the tires lost it...

they gave me a black mark and asked me to leave. :(

So I spit on the black mark and rubbed it off and went over to th luxury cars
