Awesome song, awesome topic.

I just bought 3 black vinyl stickers that say Metallica in the old style font, which I love.

I was about the equivalent of 3 rows back on the main floor on oct 1 2004 here in detroit.

Favorite part of the concert was when James was right in front of me and he was singing my favorite verse from my fav song "Fade to Black"

      It rocked.
What\'s her last name? I\'ll look it up.
You know I don\'t recall. Swim, Swammy, Slippy, Slappy, Simmons, Sommons, Swenson, Swanson?
Maybe it\'s on the briefcase.
Oh yeah! It\'s right here, Samsonite! I was way off! I knew it started with an S though!

Funny, 12 years ago would be 1992, right around when they came out with the Black album and started to suck balls. Shortly afterwards they cut their hair and really finished the sellout move.

i dont know if i would say metallica is the greatest heavy metal band. they are third perhaps after black sabbath and judas priest.

garage days revisited is probably the latest album i have bought by them. my last "real" metallica album was "and justice for all...". it was a fine album, but they were starting to get melodic.

Damn, a band grows up & changes their style and their sellouts? only sellouts think that.

                Amen to that....

"...And Justice for All" was their best album. definitely their heaviest/angriest album.
