• Met a shady character last weekend!

So, my brother walks into my room and tosses the Anaconda's 2 movie to me shortly after opening day in the movie theatre's.

I'm like WTF???

Well, he tells me he went to this guy at a huge outdoor swap meet place.

It is right near Giants stadium by me.

He told me perfect quality and cheap... $5 He mentioned the guy had AVP... <---- so wants the movie.

Last Saturday I went with him and met the guy.

Officially he is selling batteries ;) My brother knows him so the guy takes out 2 pieces of white paper folded in half. He won't open them, he allows me/ my bro to open them. It has pictures of all recently released movies that are in the theatre's.

You point to what you want, the guy looks around, reaches into his little duffle bag and VIOLA!

He would not specifically say what he was selling, only points.

I could barely hold in the laughter because I found this whole thing all secretive and shady.

I bought myself the DVD's of AVP, Hell Boy, and Scooby Doo 2 all for $5 each.

I had my bro speak with him about upcoming movies and if it comes out on a Friday.. he will have it on that Saturday.

I know this goes on all over the place.... but the whole scenario was a frigin riot. Sure I could download them off the internet... but I have a CRAP computer, that is still infested with a HELL SPAWN DIESEASE that we are still trying to VANQUISH THE DAMN DEMONS, and I have no DVD burner and no puter skills.

The quality, color, and sound is PERFECT! One thing, on the AVP, the previews were crooked, once the movie started it was all better.

So, resident evil 2 comes out friday..... I may have it on DVD saturday Hee hee hee

Piracy sucks.

I happily pay to see a movie someone has spent a lot of money to create.

It really is no different than stealing a car.

Would you be saying Hee Hee Hee if someone stole your car?

boo hoo 6 something..
Tickets are $9.50 here, and still going up regularly.

And how is "stealing" a movie the same as stealing a car?
One is grand theft auto, the other is a copyright violation.. one is also worth WAY MORE MONEY than the other. They're 2 completely different things.
At the theaters around here its the opposite, they ROB you just so you can see it! 10 bucks to see a movie is pretty rediculous. I remember back when matinees were $4... now they're $7.75 I think.

And James... I could get that computer downloading in no time

Damn, we got the movies in Iraq for $6~$7 dollars. Some of them had 4 movies on them too. About 50/50 on getting a bootleg, & have someone walking across the screen. But I did get some nice buys :D

I'll pirate till the day I die. If the movie is really liked, I'll buy the official DVD.

I spent $9.50 three days after "I, Robot" came out. Honestly, wtf. Maybe if I was in a Lazy Boy, with complimentary popcorn and pop. But nope...crappy theatre, no free stuff.

All I must say is "ARRRRRRRR!" And damn, James, that guy must have a source. It's definately difficult to find screeners online that have really acceptable audio/video. Kudos to him and kudos to you for finding such a reputable source. ;)

Its hollywood, 95% of all ticket sales go to hollywood. Theatres make profit by food sales.

Food pays for the building, soudn systems, screens, employees etc...

Hence why you can argue with a manager for 3 hours and not get a free popcorn, but annoy him for more then a minute and get free passes.

Hey guys hook me up with names addresses and numbers, I can get $1500 reward per person pirating stuff

As for the bootlegs, alot are crappy, and I hate that "if you are watching this, report to this phone number" crap

Honestly I would rather wait till the movie is on DVD and bootleg from their. Better quality.
