You said you can come in whenever you want and work as much as you want Don't go blaming the pirates.

I do think that is kind of cheap, selling them for $5. But whatever.. if it weren't for people like him, they would be trying to catch people like me ;)

And I would not hesitate to turn him in either.. like I know the guy? What if I were selling pirated movies down the street from him for $3 each.. I bet he would report me in a heartbeat!
Plus $1500 isn't exactly chump change That's a lot of **** for your car right there, or 2 months rent, however you want to think of it!
Or he coudl stop breaking the law, and I could work less, and make more. ;)

I think you guys think I am running around trying to find pirates, I honestly don't care that much. Not sure if you noticed, my roomate and good friend used to download and bootleg movies all the time. I have seen alot myself.

Jsut because you say it like that and not "I think you are a stupidhead!" doesn't change the fact that, that isn't a resonable response.

You are not Robin Hood stealing form teh rich giving to the poor.

Don't think the only people affected are actors. Its not as onesided as the movie industry, lots more goes into making movies.

You could probably care less whether I make $10 or million dollars a year. As long as you get to download movies.

Just like I could care less if some "shady character" from New Jersey gets locked up for breaking the law. As long as I get my $1,500. ;)

Calm down, its not that stressful of a conversation, we all break the law, if we didn't speed, our taxes woudl be lower since there woudl be no speed traps, but people still speed, if I didn't used to have alot fo tickets on my record, then maybe insurance rates woudl be a little cheaper for all young males with f-bodies.

I know this and I still speed, on a daily basis even. Do most people care I speed, for the most part no, do most people care that you pirate movies including myself, NO. But if I get caught speeding or ratted out for speeding, do I care? NO I was breaking the law bound to happen.

So don't complain about some guy getting arrested for pirating.

Now excuse me I am going to go steal a C6, the head guys at GM make tons of money, one C6, means they will only make $1,940,000 instead of $2,000,000 So its good, don't snitch on me!
..i thought they were 40k? shouldn't it be 1,960,000?

</font>
You're missing the entire point....I could care less about who gets arrested for what. The whole point of this is about these little b*tches who go around looking to squeal on people just to put cash in their pockets. Don't get me wrong, I could definitely use $1500 for a cam and valvetrain upgrades, but I can honestly say if I had to get it from ratting out people, I wouldn't take it. It's kind of like these people who drive around trying to get hit where they can sue and get some easy money.

And like you said....you used to bootleg movies....why would you snitch on somebody for doing it now when you're just as guilty? I swear you should be running for office somewhere....

No, it's not a stressful conversation. I'm just trying to say nobody likes a snitch, no matter how much money they get from it. A very important lesson in life. I'm giving you pearls here, son!

I think because the neon thing has been fought about far too many times already

Actually just made a C6 fully loaded with all the options, price got up to $55,715.00

base MSRP is $45,000

I figure if I am sticking it to GM bigwigs, might as well splurge on something nice.

Oh, because of the direction of this thread and the possibility of people talking about ATTEMPTING to turn someone in on this I am changing this to be a "dream" I had......because I would not be involved in issues of this nature.

Let me make 1 comment though.... anyone involved in this thread... are you willing to say 100% of your life you abide by EVERY single LAW out there???

Speeding is breaking the law.
Eliminating a catalytic converter ia breaking the law

I never said I always abided by the law. Everything you mentioned above, except for the catalytic converter thing...guilty as charged. As a matter of fact, I enjoy both speeding and street racing But I would like to bring light to the fact that street racing can be done in somewhat of a safe manner, depending on location and the time of day or night you're doing the racing. You just have to use discretion about it.

Like I said before, my whole point to this thing was the fact that if you go around ratting people out over TRIVIAL things just for your own benefit, you are a snitch, a sellout, and if someone you rat out finds out that it was you and kicks your teeth down your throat, then you got what you deserved. I know, I know....how's someone in NJ gonna find out....the previous teeth-kicking situation doesn't really apply here, but hopefully you understand what I'm getting at. You would still be a lowlife snitch, and whether you got it or not, you would deserve the teeth-kicking...lol

Well piracy is nothing new. http://www.vcdquality.com

He probably just gets them off of bit torrent like anyone can now do and converts them to DVD. Its so easy and pathetic now to get stuff.

I stole one item when I was 10 (Pellets for a BB gun, from walmart). I took them back a day later. Stealing and the items you mentioned above have nothing in common other than it's against the law. When you steal you are preventing someone from making the money they deserve; your comparison does not. Compare apples to apples not apples to oranges.
