Pretty impressed with vista beta 2 - for nerd eyes only

well I had installed beta 1 and abandond (sp?) it due to the fact that nothing worked...no drivers, no IE7 bla bla bla....well Im in beta 2 now and WOW it looks like the final product is going to be very nice, all the xp drivers work in vista, for now at least, and the touch and feel is great if anyones interested its build 5038 so go check it out you'll like it

I wish I had a test machine that could run it. My "experiement" box is an old 1.8g P4.

no test box here, just slapped an old HD in and installed it there...its pretty buggy, and missing some of the cool stuff that was on beta 1, dunno if anyones tried it, but the whole "new" alt-tab thing where its all the 3d and stuff, ya thats gone, when you held your mouse over a minimized program inthe tray it used to pop up a mini version of that window...thats gone, but explorer is pretty nice, along with IE7 now has tabbed browsing :cough: firefox :cough: all in all its pretty neat, icons are much higher resolution, it's cool, but still not worth it to only run vista, it's just not there yet....and I think you can run vista off a p4 I'm pretty sure you can at least.
