I'm pretty sure its a y87 bird. I gotta talk him down a little on the price though. If it is Y87 its got everything I need then. Manual, t-tops, black, cloth interior, and a good ole v6. And it runs perferctly!

Nice car, but I just can't buy another V6 again unless it's my second "runaround" car. I want a V8, preferrably in a F-Body.

That price needs to come way down. You know what kind of bike $8700 can get you?
There is fast, too fast, and way too fast. Way too fast is almost fast enough.

For that matter, he could get 8700 Jr Bacon Cheeseburgers. Or 8700 5 peice chicken nuggets. Or 8700 medium fries.

Yes a high mileage one that'll be a money pit. That's what I don't need. I would have had an LT1 by now if I wanted to go v8 again.

People aren't selling their cars based on the guide value. If everyone was we'd all be getting ripped off and be getting incredible deals. My 82s guide value with 49k miles on it was around $1400 I sold it for 4k. Based on the other crap in my area this 98 is a pretty good deal even though the price is a little steep. Compared to my friend who bought a 97 gst eclipse with 110k miles on it for about 8k I think it is a comparatively better deal.(granted the engine, trans, and turbo was rebuilt, the slave cylinder gave out after a week.)

Buying a LS1 is a hard thing to do since you don't usually know how the previous owner was driving the car. My dad and I listened to one on a lot yesterday and it had plenty of piston slap coming from it at 67k miles. They were asking 17k for it. I'de rather get a v6 that lasts me until 120k miles than a v8 that lasts until next week.

Their asking $8300. I figure if I can get them to $8000 and get a bill of sale at $1500 or something i'de do it. I'm still going for $7500 though.
