• Washing your car in Socal

I am really starting to hate southern california. I just got that mr clean auto dry thing at wal mart the other day along with some rim cleaner and wanted to give it a test run today. Well I look outside because there is only one parking place from the street that you have access to the water. The apartment across the streets spot was open so I parked my car across the street, hooked up the hose and started to wash.

Well about two mins later some mexican chick comes outside and starts staring, I ask her if there is a problem in spanish and she stares at me blankly and walks back inside. Well two mins later this B**ch walks outside with a phone and starts reading off my liscence plate.

So I walk over to the hose disconnect it, and tell her im done. Well thats not enough for her it seems.

I drove my unwashed but wet car back into the garage and locked it up now, because god knows what the hell is going to happen. I swear I tried to be nice, I even spoke in spanish politely, and she is still playing the unspeaking froeigner role, this crap pissed me off so bad sometimes.. well see what happens now.

That's why I'm moving out, hopefully soon. People here are very sensitive about their property.

I remember this camaro doing a burn out in this neighborhood and my bro saw it. The neighbors came out to complain and here I come with my bird and everybody thought it was me and told my mother to tell me this. No joke, they called a police too.

have you ever spoken in a different language to a pissed of spanish chick? well I havent because I can only speak english. but my friend started yelling and cussing at this McDonalds employee in his arabic thing. it hilarious to see her get as mad as we (americans) do when someone yells at them and we cant understand it. SHE even had the nerve to say learn english, in her busted, heavy accent, broken english tone. Probably one of the funniest moments at a McDonalds in the history of McDonalds.

hehe, I shoulda cursed her out in spanish. Nothing has happened so far, finished washing my car..... in the garage... yeah that sucked. But what other option do I have.

I would have understood this ladys worry if this was a house. But no it was an apartment complex. This lady was straight out rude, but she forgets... I know where she lives hehe.

I calmed down a tad, ignorant people just push my buttons.

Sacramento has alot of Native Americans with Spanish names. This was due to the Missions establishment in the 17th ce.

I'm Filipino with a Garcia last name. I've been mistaken for looking like a Mexican all the time. My wife is originally from Mexico. She looks anglo. I told her to leave her hair black. White trash sometimes looks at us in a funny way when were together holding hands in public.

My friend is from India, and whiteys thinks he's Mexican, they even put it in survey. I got friends from El Salvador, Cuba, Native Americans and even my Italian friend who's been called Mexican.

Typical ignorant white people to categorize everyone that doesn't look like them to be Mexican.

My point in the other post is about private property. And he was washing his car in a private property or a place that's not allowed. Unfortunately he uttered Mexican. He could have just said lady. Like I always do.

Dude they give fatty fines in my neighborhood for it, but i am such good friends with security that i just call them up and tell them when i am washing and how long to stay off my street. And if they get any calls they just tell the people they will take care of it right away.

whats wrong with the word mexican people? Is mexico not a country, and are the people that come from their not mexican?

She was mexican, not native american, not antyhing else. And I did not mean it in a derragatory way. I speak spanish somewhat and am half portuguese. So dont go pulling the race card on me, mexican is a completley acceptable word.

Oh and I live in long beach now. Moved away from sacto about nine months ago.

I'm a 1/4 Spanish myself. My grandfather was from Spain. I somewhat speak 4 languages.

I lived in the San Francisco area for 4 years and I'm pretty familiar of the different ethnicity there.

Mexican is a word and it is not a dirty word at all. i call my wife and her family Mexican and they call me Flip. It's just how some people have used it to generalized everybody that looks and speaks spanish. About 65% of Hispanics in US are Mexicans.

Again, my point is you shouldn't be ticked off. You were in a private property. Dube I would be annoyed if I see someone using my water that I pay for every month.

were you in Downey? it's illegal to wash your car in the street in downey (check out dumblaws.com)

i would've thrown a soapy rag at her, and told her "ctm" (chinga tu madre), along with a bunch of other spanish vulgarities, the chismosa pendeja.

*edit*... ahh, I see you live in long beach. i used to live in LB...I hate socal in general; too many flakes, punkasses, and all around pretentious ****s, (though there are a few cool laid-back people too, but nowadays, that's rare).

In my neighborhood, the landlords pay the water bill. This was a faucet outside near the main door of the apartment complex, the complex is large having as many as twenty apartments inside. True it was not my property. But its not as if I walked up to some persons private property to use their hose. Me washing my car there had no bearing on what she was doing, she didnt need to be a B**ch but she did.

If the guy down the street hooked up to the water in our apartment (the one with 1 parking space) I would think nothing of it as it has 0 bearing on me. Its like she wanted to bust me.
