I was sitting in my Latin class. The principle comes over the pa and says to turn the TV to a news station. I saw the second plane hit the tower, the plane hit the pentagon, and heard something about another plane missing when classes changed.

On the way to dropping my girlfriend at class on campus, heard it on the radio, only the first plan had hit. At first we kept flipping stations, not noticing it just thinking it was commercials, but noticed it was on every station.

I had just taken my learner's permit test, when one of my teachers walks into the room and is like "A plane just crashed into the WTC" I was just like "uhh what do you mean, how could it just crash into the WTC". My school essentially shut down that day. I have family that works right around the WTC i was pretty scared for them

At the gym before work (west coast). I heard it over the radio. It wasn't until I walked into work that I realized that it was something bigger than a Cesna crashing into the towers.

Getting ready to go back to Security duty at Naval Weapons station Yorktown Va.

I had been on 6 weeks convolesent leave due to spine surgery. I was due back to work on Sept 12th. My neighbor came downstairs ( Navy Housing ) and about beat the door down. She was frantic with the fear of god in her eyes. "We are under attack!" was all she could say. I turned on the TV and seen what was going on.

I immeadiately called up to the base and let them know I was on my way in for the night. No one had a chance to eat all day so I picked up about 50 Double stacks from Wendys on my way in. ( Never seen people move like that in a restruant, they seen my uniform and assumed it was for people that I worked with so they threw in fries too. )

Never went to rehab like I was supposed to cause they needed me at work. I even asked to go back to sea to feel like I could have done something more, get over there and get those responseable. They wouldnt let me cause of my back and how soon it was after my surgery. :(

I was a senior in high school I remember one class was watching something on TV and saw the first plane hit so we all new not to soon after but once they second one hit the towers they wouldn't allow any TV’s on and tried to keep us in the dark about it the rest of the day. Of course it didn't work since kids were calling the parents left and right on the cell phones.

i was in high school, sitting in Anatomy class. the priest at my school (went to Catholic HS) came on the loudspeaker and told us that a plane had crashed into the WTC. he said it was a small plane, but when we turned on the TV it didn't seem like a small plane had hit. And then we watched in horror as the 2nd plane hit. classes pretty much stopped everything. more news rolled in, the pentagon had been hit. i went to my trigonometry class after anatomy, where we just watched the TV the whole time. then the buildings started to fall. I remember just sitting on a desk, i've never been angrier in my whole life. i seriously thought about joining the army, even though i was only 17. the videos of those *******s in Palestine or whatever third-world helhole it was dancing in the streets made me even angrier. i wanted swift and merciless revenge. i still do. i think we should kill every damn terrorist in the world. i think we should take out every Islamic dictatorship. some of my friends lost family members that day.

Was in Science class, 8th grade. We were working on some worksheet, when my teacher's wife called and told him about it. He turned on the TV, and everyone was watching. I had no idea what the WTC was before then, so I really didn't know what was going on. Then, later in lunch, my friends and I heard about the Pentagon. We didn't believe it, but then later we found out it was true. Such a shame something so stupid can happen in our world.

I was in Geometry when it happened it was during change of classes when there was talk about it in the hallway and everybody rushed to their classes to watch the news and when i got into my Accounting class I thought I was watching a replay of the 1st plane going into the tower but it was the 2nd plane going in.

It was my sophomore year at UT. I had just taken a shower because I didn't have class until later in the morning. I start up Internet Explorer, and my homepage was set to Yahoo. Notice in the headlines that the WTC had been struck by an airplane. Clicked on the article... then flipped the TV on to CNN. Watched until the towers collapsed. Needless to say there was a very strange vibe around campus that day.

I had come into work a bit late that morning, and as I walked through the welcome area, our receptionist told me that a plane had crashed into the WTC. I focused my attention on the radio she was listening to, but all I heard was a commercial, so I continued on to my office to check out CNN.

I knew it was bad when I was unable to access any of the major news network websites. I sat in my office in front of the PC for another 10 minutes trying to find out what happened, when I heard the same receptionist yell down the hall "another plane just crashed into the Pentagon!"

At that point, like every American, I started to become a bit scared and very anxious. I still had no clue how bad the WTC was, but a plane crashing into the WTC at the same time? It was obviously an attack.

Shortly there after, starved for some real information about what was happening, our SA and myself ripped apart our upstream connection (cable) and routed it through the ceiling into a spare office where we kept an old TV, connected it, pulled it through the office door into the hallway, and tuned into CNN.

We sat there for most of the morning and afternoon watching the events unfold, feeling helpless when faced with the overwhelming need to do something and an even stronger desire for revenge. The first feeling didn't go away for a very long time. The second hasn't, and I hope it never does.

i was in my government class and a friend of minecame in to tell me and my teacher that a plane had hit a tower in NYC. Well my teacher was telling me that if i wanted i could turn on the TV so i did. We ended up watching TV the rest of the day and discussing what we thought of all of it. We had regular classes but all we did was watch TV all day. They day just seemed to be a blurr. i remember it well but it just seemed surreal and weird. But i'll NEVER forget where i was and what i was doing that day...
